Bugatti has unveiled the second project of its ultra‑exclusive Programme Solitaire: the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage. Built as a singular homage to Ferdinand Karl Piëch – the visionary who championed the W16 engine – and to the very first Bugatti Veyron, the car is a showcase of handcrafted artistry and engineering prowess.

Design cues from the original Veyron
The F.K.P. Hommage draws directly from the silhouette of the 2005 Veyron, but it is reinterpreted with modern, aggressive touches. A massive front air‑intake, a signature three‑dimensional horse‑shoe grille milled from a solid block of aluminium, and enlarged NACA ducts enhance both cooling and visual drama.

Exclusive paint and carbon detailing
The exterior glistens in a specially formulated deep‑red lacquer. Under the translucent clear coat lies a silver‑aluminium primer that creates a striking three‑dimensional depth. Exposed carbon‑fiber elements are finished in matte black, contrasting with a subtle 10% black pigment blended into the glossy red for a tactile, visual richness.

Wheels, tyres and lighting
Chrome‑plated 12‑spoke wheels echo the original Veyron design – 20‑inch at the front and 21‑inch at the rear – shod with dedicated Michelin tyres. The front and rear light clusters have been refined, retaining the classic hyper‑car silhouette while adopting sharper LED technology.

Besoke interior crafted for luxury
Inside, Bugatti abandons conventional leather for an exclusive Paris‑made fabric called Car Couture, first introduced on the Tourbillon concept. The steering wheel is a round, Bauhaus‑style nod to the Veyron, while door panels combine Car Couture with premium brown leather accents.

Hand‑crafted centre console and bespoke timepiece
The centre console and gearbox housing are machined from solid aluminium blocks, each piece uniquely bespoke. A 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon watch is embedded into the console, underscoring the car’s ultra‑luxury positioning.

Tributes to legends
The knee‑area garnish bears the signature of racing driver Pierre Veyron, alongside the initials and birth date of Ferdinand Karl Piëch. The front apron displays the “Solitaire” coach‑build logo, reinforcing the project’s exclusive nature.

Heart of the beast: 8.0‑L W16
Powering the Hommage is the same 8.0‑litre W16 engine found in the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, delivering a staggering 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque. The power is sent through a seamless 7‑speed dual‑clutch gearbox to an all‑wheel‑drive system, ensuring that performance matches the vehicle’s aesthetic ambition.

Limited production and exclusivity
Only a single unit of the F.K.P. Hommage will be produced each year, with a maximum of two cars per annum under the Programme Solitaire umbrella. Each project is a complete redesign of bodywork, interior and bespoke details, crafted to tell a new chapter in Bugatti’s heritage.

While the exact acceleration figures and top‑speed remain undisclosed, the car’s lineage guarantees an experience befitting the world’s most coveted hypercars. The identity of the first owner has also been kept under wraps, adding another layer of mystique to this legendary tribute.
