Bugatti has unveiled the second masterpiece of its exclusive Programme Solitaire – the F.K.P. Hommage. Inspired by the very first Bugatti Veyron and created as a heartfelt thank‑you to Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the visionary who laid the groundwork for the legendary W‑16 engine, this hyper‑car is a one‑off celebration of automotive art.

Design inspiration and exterior styling
The Hommage draws directly from the 2005 Veyron, but every element has been re‑engineered for modern performance and visual impact. A massive front air‑intake cowl, enlarged to improve cooling, dominates the nose, while the iconic three‑dimensional horse‑bit grille is widened and machined from a solid block of aluminium.

A bespoke two‑tone paint finishes the look. Beneath a translucent, high‑gloss red coat lies a silver‑aluminium primer that adds depth and a subtle three‑dimensional effect. Exposed carbon‑fiber sections are coated in matte black instead of the usual glossy black, creating a refined contrast with a 10 % black pigment infused in the clear coat.

- Front wheels: 20‑inch chrome‑plated 12‑spoke rims, paired with Michelin high‑performance tires.
- Rear wheels: 21‑inch chrome‑plated 12‑spoke rims, also on Michelin.
- Modernised head‑lamp and tail‑lamp units that echo the Veyron’s signature style.
Interior – a fresh take on classic luxury
Inside, the Hommage abandons traditional leather for an exclusive Paris‑crafted fabric called Car Couture, first showcased on Bugatti’s Tourbillon concept. The steering wheel returns to the round Bauhaus design first seen on the Veyron, offering a nostalgic yet contemporary feel.

Door panels incorporate the same Car Couture material combined with premium brown leather, while the centre console and transmission tunnel are handcrafted from solid aluminium blocks. A distinctive addition is a 41‑mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon‑style clock, further emphasising the bespoke nature of the cabin.

Personalised touches include a knee‑rest plaque signed by racing legend Pierre Veyron, alongside an inscription of Ferdinand Karl Piëch’s initials and birth date. The front apron bears the “Solitaire” coach‑build logo, highlighting the project’s exclusivity.

Powertrain – the heart of a legend
Under the sleek bonnet lies an 8.0‑litre W‑16 engine equipped with four turbochargers – the same power unit that fuels the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. The engine delivers a staggering 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque, coupled with a 7‑speed dual‑clutch transmission and permanent all‑wheel drive.

Performance figures such as 0‑60 mph acceleration and top speed have not been disclosed, and the identity of the car’s sole owner remains confidential.

Limited production and heritage
The F.K.P. Hommage is the second model in the Programme Solitaire series, which limits production to a maximum of two cars per year. Each vehicle is a completely bespoke reinterpretation of Bugatti’s chassis, interior and personalisation options, aiming to tell a new chapter of the brand’s storied heritage.

For enthusiasts and collectors, the Hommage represents not only an engineering marvel but also a tangible tribute to the pioneers who made the Veyron a reality.
