The latest-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS, unveiled in August 2022, has turned heads in Ho Chi Minh City. Decked out in the brand’s iconic Guards Red, this high‑performance sports car is the third GT3 RS to hit the streets of Vietnam and the first to be officially registered in early 2026.
Design: Race‑Inspired Aggression
Drawing styling cues from the track‑only 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR, the new GT3 RS boasts a wider body, sharp carbon‑fiber accents and a stripped‑out front luggage compartment that now houses advanced cooling technology borrowed from Porsche’s racing programme.
Lightweight forged‑aluminium wheels finish the look – a 20‑inch set up front and 21‑inch at the rear. Buyers can choose from Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue wheel finishes for an extra VND 40 million.
Exterior & Aerodynamics
The car’s aerodynamic package is larger than the standard 911 Carrera, measuring 4,572 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,322 mm tall with a 2,457 mm wheelbase. While the optional Weissach Package (≈ VND 2.7 billion) – which adds extensive carbon‑fiber bodywork and chassis reinforcement – is not fitted, the GT3 RS still features an active rear wing that operates like an F1‑style DRS system, varying downforce according to speed and driver input.
Interior & Driver Aids
Inside, the cockpit offers carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, with an optional 18‑way Adaptive Sports seat for extra comfort. The steering wheel is equipped with rotary switches that let the driver tweak drive mode, electronic balance, traction control and suspension settings on the fly.
Powertrain & Performance
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six engine delivering 525 hp (525 PS) and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox. The GT3 RS accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 296 km/h.
In 2022 the model recorded a Nürburgring lap of 6:44.848, making it the third‑fastest production car on the famed circuit at the time. Its aerodynamic setup can generate up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, soaring to 860 kg at 285 km/h.
Pricing & Market Presence in Vietnam
Local pricing starts at VND 17.69 billion (around US$760,000). Fully loaded with all optional extras, the price can push past the VND 20 billion mark.
According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units (992.1 series) have been imported into Vietnam – one in black, two in white and the highlighted Guards Red example.
