Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
The latest‑generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS made a bold entrance in Vietnam this August, cruising the streets of Ho Chi Minh City in the brand’s iconic Guards Red paint. It’s the third RS to roll onto Vietnamese roads, joining a black and two white examples that have already arrived earlier this year.

Design inspired by the track
Built on the 992.1 platform, the GT3 RS borrows heavily from Porsche’s racing pedigree, echoing the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars. The wide‑body shell, aggressive carbon‑fiber air intakes and a stripped‑out front luggage locker replaced by a high‑flow cooling system give it a decidedly motorsport look.

The car sits on ultra‑light 20‑inch front and 21‑inch rear alloy wheels, available in Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue—each adding roughly VND 40 million (~$1,700) to the price.

Performance and technology
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑liter flat‑six boxer delivering 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through Porsche’s seven‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox.

Zero‑to‑100 km/h (0‑62 mph) is achieved in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 296 km/h. The Nürburgring lap time stands at 6:44.848, making it the third‑fastest production car on the famed circuit at the time of its launch.

A standout feature is the electrically actuated rear wing, reminiscent of the DRS system on Formula 1 cars, which adjusts downforce on demand. At 200 km/h the aerodynamic package generates 409 kg of downforce, climbing to 860 kg at 285 km/h.

Driving aids and interior
The steering wheel houses rotary switches for drive mode, electronic stability control and traction management, while the cabin offers carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard. Buyers can opt for the Adaptive Sports seat with 18‑way electric adjustment and a suite of personalization options.

Pricing and market presence
In Vietnam the GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (around US$750,000). Fully loaded with all optional extras, the price can exceed VND 20 billion. An additional Weissach Package—featuring extensive carbon‑fiber body parts and a chassis balance bar—costs an extra VND 2.7 billion, but the model spotted in Ho Chi Minh City does not include this package.

According to Znews, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units (one black, two white, one Guards Red) have been imported into the country.

What’s next for the GT3 RS in Vietnam?
With its race‑derived technology, striking design and limited availability, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is set to become a coveted trophy for Vietnamese collectors and track enthusiasts alike.
