The latest generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, launched in August 2022, has finally turned heads on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Cloaked in the brand’s classic Guards Red, this third‑ever sighting of the high‑performance sports car in Vietnam showcases a blend of race‑inspired engineering and exclusive luxury.

Design & Heritage
Built on a wider body shell, the GT3 RS draws its DNA from Porsche’s 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars. The front luggage compartment is replaced by a sophisticated cooling system borrowed from the track, while the car’s aggressive lines are punctuated by massive air intakes and a pronounced rear diffuser.

Performance Specs
Under the hood lives a naturally‑aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Coupled with a 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox, the GT3 RS rockets from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 296 km/h. In 2022, it conquered the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:44.848, making it the third‑fastest production car on the legendary track at the time.

Aerodynamics & Technology
The car features Porsche’s active rear wing, an electrically‑controlled DRS‑style device that adjusts downforce on demand. At 200 km/h the aerodynamic package generates 409 kg of downforce, rising to 860 kg at 285 km/h. While the ultra‑light Weissach Package—offering carbon‑fibre exterior details and additional chassis bracing—was not selected, the standard aero kit already offers track‑ready performance.

Interior & Customisation
Inside, drivers can choose between carbon‑fibre bucket seats or the 18‑position Adaptive Sports seats. The steering wheel incorporates rotating knobs for drive mode, electronic balance, and traction control. Exterior colour options such as Pyro Red, Satin Black, and Indigo Blue add roughly VND 40 million to the base price.

Pricing & Availability in Vietnam
Officially listed at VND 17.69 billion (around US$750,000), a fully‑optioned GT3 RS can surpass VND 20 billion. As of the end of January 2026, four units have been imported: one in classic Guards Red, two in white, and one in black.
