The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS roars onto Ho Chi Minh City in Guards Red, priced at VND 17.7 billion. Discover specs, options, and why it’s Vietnam’s hottest supercar.

In August 2022 Porsche unveiled the latest generation of the 911 GT3 RS – a track‑inspired supercar that quickly became a collector’s dream. Its aggressive styling, wide‑track body and racing‑derived technology have turned heads worldwide, from the Gumball 3000 rally in 2024 to exclusive auto shows across Europe and Asia.

First GT3 RS on Vietnamese Roads
Early 2026 marked a milestone for Vietnamese enthusiasts: the first Porsche 911 GT3 RS received its local license plate in Ho Chi Minh City. The debut car arrived in the iconic brand‑specific Guards Red, complete with a matte “GT3 RS” racing sticker that dates back to the 2003 heritage model.

Design and Aerodynamics
The new GT3 RS pushes performance through pure form. A wider front apron, massive air intakes and a stripped‑out front trunk (replaced by an advanced cooling system borrowed from Porsche race cars) give the car a purposeful, purposeful look. Its aerodynamic package includes an active rear wing that operates like a Formula 1 DRS system, adjusting downforce on demand.

Dimensions outrun the standard 911 Carrera, measuring 4,572 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,322 mm high, with a wheelbase stretched to 2,457 mm. The car generates up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and a staggering 860 kg at 285 km/h.

Wheel and Colour Options
- 20‑inch front and 21‑inch rear multi‑spoke aluminium alloy wheels, forged for ultra‑light performance.
- Exterior finishes available in Pyro Red, Satin Black and Indigo Blue – each adding roughly VND 40 million to the base price.
While the Vietnamese example sticks with the classic Guards Red, buyers can also elect the Weissach Package – a carbon‑fiber‑rich suite of aerodynamic and chassis upgrades – though it adds nearly VND 2.7 billion and was not selected for this model.

Interior and Driver‑Centric Tech
Inside, the GT3 RS offers carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, with an optional 18‑way Adaptive Sports seat for personalized comfort. The steering wheel features integrated rotary switches that let the driver toggle driving modes, electronic balance settings and traction control on the fly.

Other customizable touches include carbon‑fiber trim, bespoke upholstery options and a range of infotainment upgrades tailored to the driver’s taste.

Powertrain
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through Porsche’s 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox, providing blisteringly quick shifts.

- 0–100 km/h in 3.2 seconds
- Top speed of 296 km/h
- Lap time of 6:44.848 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (2022)
Pricing in Vietnam
Officially, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (approximately US$ 720,000). With a full suite of optional equipment – such as the Weissach Package, premium paint, and bespoke interior – the price can easily surpass VND 20 billion.

Market Presence
According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four 911 GT3 RS (992.1) units have been imported into Vietnam: one in black, two in white, and the Guards Red example that sparked this article.

With its race‑ready DNA, striking aesthetics and eye‑watering price tag, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is clearly Vietnam’s most coveted supercar of the year.
