Arrival of a New Supercar
In early 2026, a brand‑new Porsche 911 GT3 RS turned heads on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Finished in the iconic Guards Red paint, this is the third RS to be spotted in Vietnam and the first to hit the local register.

Design Language Inspired by the Track
The latest‑generation 911 GT3 RS blends road‑legal practicality with a race‑car silhouette. A wider body, aggressive air intakes and a stripped‑down front luggage compartment—replaced by a sophisticated cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s GT racing programmes—give the car a muscular, purpose‑built look.

Standard wheels feature lightweight multi‑spoke aluminium alloys: 20‑inch at the front and 21‑inch at the rear. Buyers can opt for special finishes such as Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue for an extra VND 40 million.

Advanced Aerodynamics
With a length of 4,572 mm, width of 1,900 mm and height of 1,322 mm, the GT3 RS is larger than the 911 Carrera. Its wheelbase stretches to 2,457 mm, improving stability at high speed. A distinctive aero package generates up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and peaks at 860 kg when the car reaches 285 km/h.

Unique to the RS is an electrically‑actuated rear wing that mimics the DRS (Drag Reduction System) used in Formula 1. The wing can open or close on demand, allowing the driver to balance drag and downforce according to the driving situation.

Performance Figures
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑liter flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox. The car rockets from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 296 km/h.

In 2022 the RS set a lap time of 6:44.848 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, making it the third fastest production car around the legendary circuit at the time.

Interior and Driving Aids
The cabin is a driver‑focused cockpit. Standard bucket seats are carbon‑fiber‑reinforced, while an optional Adaptive Sports seat offers 18‑way electric adjustment. The steering wheel includes rotary knobs for selecting drive mode, electronic balance, traction control and suspension settings, giving the driver instantaneous command over the car’s dynamics.

Pricing and Local Availability
In Vietnam the base price for the 911 GT3 RS is VND 17.69 billion (approximately US$ 760,000). Fully loaded with all optional packages—such as the coveted Weissach Package, which adds carbon‑fiber exterior parts, front and rear chassis stabilisers, and additional lightweight components—the price can exceed VND 20 billion.

According to Znews, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units (992.1 generation) have been imported: one in black, two in white and the Guards Red example that is currently on display in Ho Chi Minh City.

Why It Matters
The arrival of the GT3 RS underscores Vietnam’s growing appetite for ultra‑high‑performance automobiles. For collectors, the car offers a rare blend of track‑proven technology and everyday usability—making it a coveted addition to any supercar garage.
