In early 2026, a striking Porsche 911 GT3 RS rolled onto the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, turning heads with its iconic Guards Red paint. Priced at VND 17.69 billion (around US$750,000), it is only the third of its model to be registered in Vietnam.

Model Overview
The 2022‑2023‑generation 911 GT3 RS is a collector’s favorite, marrying race‑track heritage with road‑legal performance. Inspired by the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars, the new GT3 RS features a wide‑body shell, aggressive carbon‑cut lines, and a front‑lid that sacrifices luggage space for a race‑derived cooling system.

Exterior & Colour Choices
While the debut car opted for the brand‑standard Guards Red, Porsche offers additional finishes such as Pyro Red, Satin Black, and Indigo Blue. Selecting one of these premium paints adds roughly VND 40 million to the purchase price.

- Front wheels: 20‑inch lightweight multi‑spoke alloy
- Rear wheels: 21‑inch alloy, also carbon‑reinforced
- Optional carbon‑fiber exterior elements (Weissach Package) – not fitted on the local unit
Aerodynamics & Performance
The GT3 RS boasts a larger footprint than the 911 Carrera—4,572 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,322 mm tall—with a 2,457 mm wheelbase. Its signature aerodynamic kit generates up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and peaks at 860 kg at 285 km/h. An active rear wing, reminiscent of Formula 1 DRS technology, can be electrically adjusted to suit driving conditions.

Note: The high‑cost Weissach Package, which adds extensive carbon‑fiber trim and chassis balance bars, carries an extra price tag of about VND 2.7 billion and is not included on the Vietnamese examples.

Interior & Technology
The cockpit features a sport‑focused steering wheel with rotary switches for drive mode, electronic balance, and traction control. Standard seats are carbon‑fiber bucket shells, with the optional 18‑position Adaptive Sports seats offering electric adjustment. Buyers can personalise numerous interior details, from trim colours to infotainment settings.

Powertrain & Specs
Under the hood sits a naturally‑aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox. Highlights include:

- 0‑100 km/h (0‑62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds
- Top speed of 296 km/h (184 mph)
- Nürburgring lap record: 6 minutes 44.848 seconds (as of 2022)
Vietnam Market Presence
According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four 911 GT3 RS (992.1) units have been imported into Vietnam: one in black, two in white, and the Guards Red flagship. With full options, the price can exceed VND 20 billion.

What’s Next?
