Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
The latest‑generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS, launched in August 2022, has turned heads in Saigon. The car arrived in a striking Guards Red lacquer, making it the third GT3 RS to be seen on Vietnamese roads.

Design and Aerodynamics
Inspired by the track‑only 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR, the GT3 RS flaunts a wide‑body shell, aggressive cut‑lines and a carbon‑fiber rear wing. The front luggage compartment is replaced by a cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s racing machines. Standard 20‑inch front and 21‑inch rear lightweight alloy wheels underline its performance‑focused stance.

Buyers can upgrade the finish to Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue for an additional VND 40 million.

Performance Figures
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer delivering 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7‑speed PDK gearbox.

- 0‑100 km/h (0‑62 mph): 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 296 km/h (184 mph)
- Lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife: 6:44.848 (2022)
An active rear wing, reminiscent of Formula 1 DRS, adjusts downforce from 409 kg at 200 km/h to 860 kg at 285 km/h.

Interior and Technology
The cabin offers carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, with an optional 18‑way Adaptive Sports electric seat. A specially designed steering wheel features rotary switches for drive mode, electronic balance, and traction control. The chassis benefits from a rear‑axle steering system and optional Weissach Package carbon‑fiber components (priced separately).

Vietnam Pricing and Availability
Officially listed at VND 17.69 billion (approximately US$ 760,000), the GT3 RS can exceed VND 20 billion when fully optioned. As of late January 2026, at least four units have been imported – one in Guards Red, two in white and one in black.

What It Means for the Local Market
With its race‑derived technology and eye‑catching colour, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS adds a new benchmark for high‑performance luxury cars in Vietnam, appealing to collectors who demand both track capability and street presence.
