A fresh Porsche 911 GT3 RS has turned heads on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, sporting the brand’s iconic Guards Red paint. The 2022‑model supercar, based on Porsche’s track‑proven GT3‑R and RSR racers, is now the third RS to blaze a trail across Vietnam.

Design and Racing Heritage
Launched in August 2022, the new‑generation 911 GT3 RS mirrors the aggressive lines of Porsche’s 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars. Although it made an appearance in the 2024 Gumball 3000 rally, the first units only received Vietnamese registration in early 2026.

Engine and Power
The GT3 RS retains the high‑revving 4.0‑liter boxer that delivers a blistering 525 horsepower, paired with Porsche’s lightning‑quick 7‑speed PDK gearbox and rear‑wheel drive.

Acceleration and Top Speed
With a curb weight near 1,430 kg, the car rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches a firm 296 km/h, making it one of the quickest street‑legal 911s ever built.

Exclusive Aerodynamics
The RS features a purpose‑built aerodynamic package, including a large front splitter, ventilated rear diffuser and an active rear wing that operates like an F1 DRS flap. Drivers can adjust downforce on the fly, generating up to 860 kg of grip at high speed. The optional Weissach Package – priced at roughly 2.7 billion VND – adds carbon‑fiber exterior elements and a lightweight chassis balance bar front and rear.

Interior and Customisation
Inside, the cabin offers carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, with the option of 18‑way Adaptive Sports seats. A bespoke steering wheel includes rotary switches for driving mode, electronic balance, and traction control. Buyers can choose from Pyro Red, Satin Black, Indigo Blue, or the classic Guards Red, each adding about 40 million VND.

Pricing and Availability in Vietnam
Officially listed at 17.69 billion VND (about $760,000), the Porsche 911 GT3 RS can easily surpass 20 billion VND when fully optioned with the Weissach Package, premium paint, and interior upgrades.

How Many Have Arrived?
According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four RS‑992.1 units have been imported: one in black, two in white, and the Guards Red example captured in Ho Chi Minh City.

With its race‑derived engineering, active aerodynamics and eye‑catching colour, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is setting a new benchmark for supercars in Vietnam.
