The latest generation of Porsche’s track‑focused 911 GT3 RS has turned heads in Vietnam, cruising the streets of Ho Chi Minh City painted in the brand’s iconic Guards Red.

Race‑inspired design
Drawing styling cues from the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars, the 992.1 GT3 RS features a wide‑body silhouette, sharp carbon‑fiber splitters and a front that forgoes traditional luggage space in favor of an advanced cooling system taken straight from motorsport.

The car rides on ultra‑light forged‑aluminum wheels—20‑inch at the front and 21‑inch at the rear. Buyers can choose from Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue finishes, each adding roughly VND 40 million to the final price.

Aerodynamics and the Weissach option
The GT3 RS is equipped with an active aerodynamic package that includes an electrically controlled rear wing, similar to the DRS system used in Formula 1. This system adjusts rear‑downforce on demand, delivering up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and a staggering 860 kg at 285 km/h.

While the car is offered with the optional Weissach Package – a bundle of carbon‑fiber exterior accents, front and rear chassis braces and additional weight‑saving measures – the version spotted in Vietnam does not include this package, which alone costs around VND 2.7 billion.

Powertrain
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine that churns out 525 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent through Porsche’s 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch transmission to the rear wheels.

Performance figures
- 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 296 km/h (184 mph)
- Nürburgring Nordschleife lap: 6 minutes 44.848 seconds (recorded 2022)
Pricing and market presence in Vietnam
In Vietnam the GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (approximately US$760,000). Fully loaded with all optional equipment, the price can climb beyond VND 20 billion.

According to Znews, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units have been imported: one in black, two in white and the Guards Red example currently on display.
