Mercedes-Benz is once again pushing the boundaries of automotive luxury. Ahead of its global debut, the German automaker has provided a sneak peek into the interior of the upcoming C-Class Electric. This all-electric luxury sedan isn’t just a battery-powered version of its predecessor; it is a tech-forward powerhouse inheriting the most advanced systems from the electric GLC.

A Digital Sanctuary: The 39.1-Inch Display

The centerpiece of the C-Class Electric is undoubtedly its staggering dashboard. Depending on the trim level, the cabin features a massive 39.1-inch display that spans nearly the entire width of the interior. To cater to different driver preferences, Mercedes is offering two distinct MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) configurations:

  • The Hyperscreen: A single, seamless glass panel that merges the instrument cluster, infotainment, and passenger display into one fluid piece of technology.
  • The Superscreen: A sophisticated setup featuring three separate but seamlessly integrated screens for a more structured digital experience.

Redefining Cabin Comfort and Aesthetics

Beyond the screens, the C-Class Electric focuses on a blend of minimalism and opulence. The interior boasts redesigned seating for enhanced ergonomics and a variety of aesthetic options, ranging from a stripped-back minimalist package to high-end luxury finishes.

One of the most striking additions is the Sky Control panoramic sunroof, which creates a starlit atmosphere inside the cabin, mirroring the iconic ambient lighting found in the Maybach and S-Class lines. Efficiency also extends to climate control; the new automatic system is engineered to heat or cool the cabin twice as fast as traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) models.

Sleek Design Meets Practical Utility

The center console has been reimagined for the electric era. It features a cleaner, more simplified layout that eliminates clutter while maintaining functionality. Key highlights include:

  • Dual Wireless Charging: Two dedicated pads to keep multiple devices powered up on the go.
  • Tactile Controls: A strategic mix of physical buttons for intuitive use and illuminated air vents for a modern, high-tech glow.

Next-Gen Performance and Competition

Expected to hit the market in 2026, the C-Class Electric will leverage the brand’s latest battery and charging breakthroughs. Industry insiders expect the vehicle to utilize an 800V electrical architecture—similar to the electric GLC—which would allow for ultra-fast charging speeds and improved efficiency.

The stakes are high, as Mercedes prepares to go head-to-head with the new-generation BMW i3. With the i3 boasting a range of approximately 600 km and a dual-motor setup delivering 463 horsepower, the C-Class Electric will need every bit of its luxury and tech edge to dominate the premium EV sedan segment.

While detailed specifications and pricing will be revealed closer to the launch date, one thing is clear: the C-Class Electric is designed to be a benchmark for the next generation of electric mobility.
