Kia has rolled out the official pricing and details for the all‑new 2026 Telluride in the United States, marking the biggest refresh the midsize three‑row SUV has seen since its debut.
Pricing and Trim Levels
The base LX model with front‑wheel drive starts at $39,190 (about 1.02 billion VND). Front‑wheel drive is standard across the range, while all‑wheel drive is offered on most higher‑trim versions.
New Turbocharged 2.5‑Litre Engine
Kia drops the long‑standing 3.8‑litre V6 in favour of a brand‑new 2.5‑litre turbocharged four‑cylinder. The engine delivers roughly 68 Nm (50 lb‑ft) more torque than its predecessor, promising better acceleration, higher payload capacity and stronger low‑rpm performance.
Expanded Trim Lineup
In addition to the traditional LX, S, EX, SX and SX‑Prestige, Kia adds two sport‑oriented sub‑models:
- X‑Line – a style‑focused package with unique exterior accents.
- X‑Pro – a light‑off‑road version featuring a tuned suspension, electronic limited‑slip differential (E‑LSD), 231 mm ground clearance and off‑road driving modes for sand, mud and slippery surfaces.
Interior Technology & Safety
Inside, the Telluride receives a 12.3‑inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with an array of advanced driver‑assist features that are now standard on even the entry‑level trim. Kia lists 19 active safety systems, keeping the Telluride ahead of many three‑row SUV competitors.
Hybrid Variant on the Way
Kia confirms a 2026 hybrid Telluride will pair the new 2.5‑litre turbo engine with an electric motor to exceed 300 horsepower. Pricing for the hybrid has not been disclosed yet, but Kia expects the model to launch later in the first half of 2026, after the gasoline‑only versions hit the market.
This staggered rollout mirrors strategies employed by other large‑SUV makers, such as Hyundai with the new Palisade, reflecting the higher cost of electrified powertrains.
Market Positioning
With a sub‑$40,000 entry price, a fresh turbo engine, a diverse trim matrix and a forthcoming hybrid, the 2026 Kia Telluride remains a compelling choice in the competitive three‑row SUV segment.
