Mitsubishi has officially launched the new‑generation manual‑shift version of its popular Xpander MPV for the Vietnamese market. While the sleek Dynamic Shield design language remains recognisable, subtle refinements give the model a fresher silhouette.
Design & Dimensions
The most eye‑catching upgrade is the vehicle’s length, which has been stretched by 120 mm compared with the previous generation. This extra space translates into a more generous cabin and a slightly longer wheelbase, enhancing rear‑seat comfort.
Exterior Tweaks
Minor styling touches appear around the wheel arches, and the Xpander now comes with a new multi‑spoke 16‑inch alloy wheel design, while retaining the same rim size.

Interior Upgrades
Inside, the instrument cluster has been upgraded to a 7‑inch digital display. The central infotainment screen continues to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via a wired connection. On the second row, three headrests have been added along with a centre armrest that incorporates a convenient cup‑holder tray.
Powertrain
Under the bonnet sits Mitsubishi’s MIVEC 1.5‑litre gasoline engine, mated to a five‑speed manual transmission. The power unit produces roughly 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque, meets Euro‑5 emissions standards and is compatible with E10 fuel.
Pricing & Market Outlook
The new Xpander manual is priced at VND 568 million, and buyers in March benefit from a 100 % tax‑exemption on the registration fee. Positioned below the VND 600 million mark, the Xpander MT is expected to sustain its lead in the competitive MPV segment, contending with rivals such as the VinFast Limo Green, BYD M6, MG G50 and Hyundai Stargazer.
