BMW Group 2025 sales edged up 0.5% as MINI posted a 17.7% surge, offsetting drops at BMW and Rolls‑Royce. Discover the full report and what’s next.
Overall Group Performance
BMW Group delivered a total of 2,463,715 vehicles in 2025, a modest 0.5 % increase over 2024. The growth was largely driven by a remarkable rebound at MINI, while the core BMW brand and Rolls‑Royce saw slight declines.

BMW Brand Slides Slightly
The flagship BMW brand shipped 2,169,761 units, down 1.4 % year‑on‑year. However, the high‑performance BMW M division bucked the trend, posting a 3.3 % rise to 213,457 cars, underscoring steady demand for sport‑focused models.
Rolls‑Royce Volume Dips
Luxury specialist Rolls‑Royce delivered 5,664 cars in 2025, a 0.8 % dip from the prior year. Although the absolute numbers are small, the decline signals a softening market for ultra‑luxury vehicles.

MINI: The Real Star
MINI surged ahead with a 17.7 % jump to 288,290 units, thanks to a comprehensive model refresh. Electric models now account for more than one‑third of MINI’s sales, driven by the Cooper SE (J01) and Aceman (J05) built in China, though these are not yet available in North America.
Electrification Gains Momentum
Pure‑electric vehicles represented 18 % of total group deliveries, amounting to 442,072 cars—a 3.6 % rise. Including plug‑in hybrids, the group sold 642,087 electrified vehicles, up 8.3 % YoY, meaning over a quarter of all BMW Group output was electrified.

Regional Performance
- Europe: BMW and MINI together grew 7.3 %.
- North America: sales rose 5 %.
- China: both brands fell 12.5 %, delivering only 625,527 vehicles, raising questions about the impact of the new “Neue Klasse” models tailored for the Chinese market.
Two‑Wheeler Segment Slips
BMW Motorrad reported a difficult year, with motorcycle and scooter deliveries dropping 3.7 % to 202,563 units.
Looking Ahead to 2026
BMW remains optimistic, confirming the launch of the next‑generation 3 Series and X5 later this year. The all‑electric i3 sedan and a refreshed 7 Series are also slated for release, promising fresh catalysts for growth.
