Group‑wide delivery numbers

The conglomerate delivered a total of 2,463,715 vehicles in 2025, up 0.5% from the previous year.

Brand performance

BMW sales slipped 1.4% to 2,169,761 units. However, the high‑performance BMW M line bucked the trend, posting a 3.3% increase to 213,457 cars, indicating steady demand for sports‑oriented models.

Rolls‑Royce, which does not focus on volume, delivered 5,664 vehicles, a 0.8% drop year‑over‑year—a slight wobble for the Goodwood‑based marque.

Mini’s breakout growth

The real star was MINI. The Oxford‑based brand recorded a remarkable 17.7% jump, reaching 288,290 units. A comprehensive model refresh drove the surge, and electric versions accounted for more than one‑third of MINI’s sales.

Two of MINI’s electric models – the Cooper SE (J01) and the Aceman (J05) – are produced in China but have yet to be launched in North America.

Electrification strategy

Pure‑electric vehicles represented 18% of the group’s total deliveries, with 442,072 EVs shipped – up 3.6% versus 2024. Including plug‑in hybrids, the total electrified volume reached 642,087 units, a rise of 8.3%. Overall, 26% of all vehicles produced by BMW Group in 2025 were electrified.

Regional highlights

  • Europe: +7.3% growth.
  • United States: +5.0% growth.
  • China: -12.5% decline, with only 625,527 vehicles delivered.

The steep drop in China raises questions about whether the upcoming “Neue Klasse” models tailored for the market can reverse the trend.

Two‑wheelers lag behind

BMW Motorrad posted a disappointing year, with motorcycle and scooter deliveries falling 3.7% to 202,563 units.

Looking ahead to 2026

BMW remains optimistic for the next year. The lineup will feature a new generation of the 3 Series and a refreshed X5, alongside the all‑electric i3 sedan and a facelifted 7 Series. These launches aim to reinvigorate growth across the portfolio.
