Bugatti has unveiled its second masterpiece from the exclusive Programme Solitaire – the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage. This ultra‑limited hypercar pays homage to Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the visionary behind the legendary W‑16 engine, and to the very first Bugatti Veyron ever built.
Exterior design
The Hommage reimagines the classic Veyron silhouette with a dramatically enlarged air intake, a 3‑D horse‑shaped grille milled from a solid block of aluminium, and a striking two‑tone paint finish. A glossy red coat sits atop a silver‑aluminium base, creating a deep, three‑dimensional visual effect. Exposed carbon‑fibre trim in matte black contrasts with a translucent clear coat that contains 10 % black pigment, giving the body a tactile, high‑tech feel.
Chrome‑plated 12‑spoke wheels echo the original Veyron design – 20‑inch at the front and 21‑inch at the rear – shod with bespoke Michelin tyres. The lighting signature has been modernised while retaining the iconic rear air‑intake vents that define the classic hypercar’s character.
Interior craftsmanship
Inside, the cabin is a departure from the Chiron and the W16 Mistral. The steering wheel returns to the round, Bauhaus‑style design of the original Veyron. Instead of traditional leather, Bugatti uses an exclusive Paris‑made fabric called “Car Couture” that debuted on the Tourbillon concept. Door panels blend this material with premium brown leather, while the central console and transmission tunnel are hand‑crafted from solid aluminium blocks.
A bespoke Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon 41 mm watch is integrated into the centre console, and the knee‑rest bears the signature of racing driver Pierre Veyron alongside the initials and birth date of Ferdinand Karl Piëch. The front apron is emblazoned with the “Solitaire” coach‑build logo, underscoring the car’s singular nature.
Powertrain
At its heart lies the same 8.0‑litre W‑16 engine with four turbochargers that powers the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. The F.K.P. Hommage delivers the full 1 600 hp and 1 600 Nm of torque, mated to a seven‑speed dual‑clutch transmission and permanent all‑wheel drive.
