Overview
Bugatti has unveiled the F.K.P. Hommage, the second masterpiece of its ultra‑exclusive Programme Solitaire. Limited to a single unit, the car celebrates Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the engineering visionary who pioneered the W16 powerplant, and pays homage to the very first Bugatti Veyron.

Design and Exterior
The Hommage’s silhouette draws directly from the original Veyron, but with a modern twist. Large, sculpted air intakes dominate the front, while a 3‑D horse‑shoe grille—machined from a solid block of aluminium—has been expanded for a more aggressive look.

A striking red finish is achieved through a multi‑layer coating process: a silver aluminium primer lies beneath a clear, glossy red topcoat, creating depth and a three‑dimensional visual effect. Exposed carbon‑fibre weave in black replaces conventional black paint, complemented by a subtle 10 % black pigment in the clear coat for a rich tactile contrast.

Wheels and Aerodynamics
Chrome‑plated 12‑spoke wheels echo the original Veyron’s design, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, wrapped in bespoke Michelin tires. The front and rear lighting units have been updated with contemporary LED technology while still reflecting the classic Veyron aesthetic. Two large rear air ducts behind the cockpit retain the hypercar’s iconic airflow management.

Interior and Materials
The cabin is a departure from the Chiron and W16 Mistral, featuring a round Bauhaus‑style steering wheel reminiscent of the Veyron. Instead of traditional leather, Bugatti uses an exclusive Paris‑made Car Couture fabric—first showcased on the Tourbillon concept—providing a luxurious yet avant‑garde feel.

Door panels combine the same Car Couture material with premium brown leather, while the central console and transmission tunnel are handcrafted from solid aluminium. A bespoke Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon 41 mm dial adorns the console, underscoring the car’s ultra‑luxury positioning.

Personal touches include Pierre Veyron’s signature near the knee‑high footwell, alongside Ferdinand Karl Piëch’s initials and birthdate. The front apron bears the “Solitaire” coach‑build logo.

Powertrain
At its heart lies an 8.0‑litre W16 engine with four turbochargers, borrowed from the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. The power unit delivers an astounding 1 600 hp and 1 600 Nm of torque, mated to a 7‑speed dual‑clutch gearbox and permanent all‑wheel drive. Acceleration figures and top‑speed limits have not been disclosed.

Production and Legacy
The F.K.P. Hommage is the second model in Programme Solitaire, which aims to produce a maximum of two bespoke cars per year. Each project involves a complete redesign of the body, interior, and personalization elements, telling a unique chapter of Bugatti’s heritage. The identity of the sole owner remains confidential.
