Bugatti has just unveiled the second masterpiece of its exclusive Programme Solitaire – the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage. Inspired by the very first Bugatti Veyron, this one‑off hypercar pays homage to Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the visionary who championed the original W‑16 power unit.

Design inspiration
While the Veyron set the benchmark for supreme performance, the F.K.P. Hommage reinterprets its iconic silhouette with modern flair. A massive front air intake, a widened 3‑D horse‑shoe grille milled from a solid aluminium billet, and dramatically sculpted wheel arches give the car an aggressive, aerodynamic presence.

Exterior craftsmanship
The body is finished in a special two‑tone red paint. A silver aluminium base beneath a transparent glossy red coat creates depth and a subtle three‑dimensional effect that changes with the light. Exposed carbon‑fiber accents in matte black replace conventional black paint, while a 10 % black pigment blended into the clear coat adds a tactile contrast.

Chrome‑plated 12‑spoke wheels echo the original Veyron design – 20 inches up front and 21 inches at the rear – wrapped in bespoke Michelin tires. The front and rear light clusters are re‑engineered for a contemporary look yet retain the classic hypercar’s signature air vents behind the cockpit.

Interior luxury
Inside, the F.K.P. Hommage abandons the traditional leather of the Veyron for an exclusive Car Couture fabric, hand‑woven in Paris and first showcased on the Bugatti Tourbillon. The steering wheel returns to the round Bauhaus‑style of the Veyron, while the door panels feature the same Car Couture material combined with premium brown leather.

The centre console and transmission tunnel are bespoke, machined from solid aluminium blocks, and house a limited‑edition 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon watch. A nod to racing heritage appears on the knee‑side garnish with Pierre Veyron’s signature and Ferdinand Karl Piëch’s initials and birthdate. The front apron bears the “Solitaire” coach‑building badge.

Powertrain
At its heart lies an 8.0‑litre W‑16 engine delivering a staggering 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque – the same unit that powers the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. Coupled with a seven‑speed dual‑clutch transmission and permanent all‑wheel drive, the F.K.P. Hommage promises performance on par with Bugatti’s flagship hypercars, though exact acceleration and top‑speed figures remain under wraps.

Limited production & heritage
The F.K.P. Hommage is the second commission under Programme Solitaire, which limits production to a maximum of two cars per year. Each vehicle is a fully bespoke creation, with a completely re‑designed body, bespoke interior and personalized details that tell the story of Bugatti’s legacy.

The identity of the exclusive owner has not been disclosed, adding an extra layer of mystique to this rolling work of automotive art.
