Final Production Day

On December 19, 2025, the Solihull plant in the United Kingdom rang out with applause as engineers and production staff celebrated a historic milestone – the last internal‑combustion‑engine (ICE) Jaguar rolling off the line. The vehicle was the high‑performance SUV Jaguar F‑Pace SVR, marking the end of gasoline‑powered Jaguars as the brand moves toward an all‑electric future.

Heritage and Tribute

The final F‑Pace SVR was finished in a deep Santorini Black paint, a hue reminiscent of the iconic Jaguar E‑Type that captivated enthusiasts for decades. Rather than being sold to a private collector, the car was donated to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, where it will sit beside the legendary 1937 SS Jaguar 2½ Litre Saloon.

Earlier, on May 22, 2024, Jaguar had also produced the last XE, XF and F‑Type models – a series of final ICE hand‑overs that closed a celebrated chapter of the marque’s history.

Performance Highlights

First introduced in 2018, the F‑Pace SVR is the sport‑focused version of Jaguar’s compact SUV, sharing many technologies with the Land Rover Range Rover Velar. A 2020 facelift refreshed the model, and the ultimate “575 Edition” arrived in 2023.

Key specifications of the 575 Edition include:

  • 5.0‑litre supercharged V8 delivering 575 hp and 700 Nm of torque
  • Eight‑speed ZF automatic transmission
  • All‑wheel drive
  • 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 4.0 seconds
  • Top speed of 283 km/h (176 mph)

The standard SVR produces 550 hp and 680 Nm, accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and also reaches a top speed of 283 km/h.

Pricing and Market Availability

At the time of its final production, the last F‑Pace SVR was listed at just over US$92,000. While Jaguar has ceased ICE sales in most markets, the brand continues to offer gasoline models in China through the Chery Jaguar Land Rover joint venture.

Jaguar’s Electric Future

Jaguar’s pivot to an all‑electric lineup reflects a broader industry shift, but the decision has sparked mixed reactions among long‑time owners and enthusiasts who cherish the marque’s legacy of performance‑driven gasoline engines. The company is now positioning itself in the ultra‑luxury segment, aiming to compete with the likes of Bentley, Porsche and Maserati.

What This Means for Enthusiasts

The departure of the last gasoline Jaguar underscores the end of an era and the beginning of a new, electrified chapter. For collectors, the final F‑Pace SVR becomes a piece of automotive history – a symbol of Jaguar’s storied past and a reminder that the roar of a V8 will soon be a nostalgic echo.

Stay tuned for updates on Jaguar’s electric models and how the brand plans to honor its heritage while forging ahead into a sustainable future.
