Discover Mazda’s new CX-6e electric crossover debuting in Europe – power, range, design and tech specs unveiled. Learn more today!

At the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Mazda revealed its first fully electric compact crossover, the Mazda CX‑6e, marking the brand’s strongest push into Europe’s EV market.

Design language that blends heritage and futurism
The CX‑6e carries over the sleek silhouette of the China‑market EZ‑60, but with distinct Mazda cues – a split‑type headlights cluster, daytime running lights that trace the lower edge of the grille, and the signature illuminated Mazda badge. Buyers can choose from seven paint finishes, including a “Nightfall Violet” that shifts hue with the viewing angle, and a dark‑toned roof, A‑, B‑ and C‑pillars for a sportier profile.

Every exterior element has been refined for aerodynamics: a reshaped bonnet, a streamlined D‑pillar, low‑drag side mirrors, and a rear spoiler that together improve range per charge. The 21‑inch aerodynamic wheels echo the EZ‑60’s design, while the rear combines slim LED taillights with a wide horizontal light strip and a bold Mazda logo.

Tech‑rich cabin
Inside, the driver’s cockpit discards the traditional analog cluster in favour of a head‑up display (HUD) with bespoke navigation graphics. The centerpiece is a massive 26.45‑inch seamless touchscreen that supports dual‑split view and gesture controls, offering a truly immersive experience.

Digital rear‑view mirrors are fitted with blind‑spot alerts, enhancing safety and reducing drag. The Takumi trim offers Warm Beige or Black Maztex upholstery, while the Takumi Plus adds an Amethyst‑purple or White Maztex scheme.

Spacious interior and practicality
With a 2,902 mm wheelbase, the CX‑6e provides a roomy rear seat that can be adjusted electrically for comfort, ventilation, and cooling. Cargo capacity starts at 468 L and expands to 1,434 L when the rear seats are folded flat. An additional 80 L storage compartment sits beneath the bonnet.

Powertrain and performance
The CX‑6e is powered by a rear‑mounted electric motor delivering 258 hp and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 78 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery pack. A single‑speed transmission propels the vehicle from 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h. Mazda claims an official WLTP range of up to 483 km on a full charge.

Fast‑charging capability is impressive: a 195 kW DC charger can boost the battery from 10 % to 80 % in just 24 minutes.

Market positioning and launch schedule
Set to hit European showrooms in mid‑2026, the CX‑6e will compete directly with the Tesla Model Y, Mercedes‑Benz GLC EQ, and BMW iX3. While pricing details remain under wraps, Mazda aims to position the CX‑6e as a premium yet attainable EV option for tech‑savvy families.

Stay tuned for official pricing and test‑drive opportunities as Mazda prepares to roll out its most ambitious electric model yet.
