In November 2025, Mitsubishi Thailand launched the newest variant of its best‑selling pickup: the Triton Mega Cab 2.4 Street. Replacing the outgoing Mega Cab Active, the Street edition adds a bold, urban‑centric aesthetic while retaining the practical workhorse DNA of the Triton range.

Eye‑catching Exterior
The most striking feature is the all‑new “Dynamic Shield” grille, a trapezoidal mesh that instantly recalls the futuristic armor of Star Wars Stormtroopers. Mitsubishi offers the Street in three solid colours – Pure White, Blade Silver and Graphite Gray – each paired with matte‑black 17‑inch, five‑spoke alloy wheels.

Despite the aggressive styling, the chassis stays true to the standard suspension setup; the ride height is unchanged, reinforcing the model’s “street” rather than off‑road focus.

Cabin Layout and Tech
Inside, the Street adopts a hybrid cab configuration that slots between a single and double cab. Two front seats are upholstered in a soft, napped fabric, while two rear bench seats provide extra passenger capacity for short trips.

A 10‑inch touchscreen sits at the centre of the dash, supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and Bluetooth connectivity. The audio system is modest, featuring two speakers, but delivers clear sound for daily commutes.

Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood lives a 2.4‑litre turbo‑charged diesel engine, producing 150 hp and a peak torque of 330 Nm. Power is sent through a six‑speed manual gearbox to a rear‑wheel‑drive layout, complemented by an active anti‑slip brake system.

Safety equipment includes three airbags, a forward‑collision warning (FCM), electronic stability control (ASC) and traction control (TCL), ensuring a well‑rounded protection package for both work and leisure driving.

Pricing and Availability
In the Thai market, the Triton Street starts at 649,000 baht, roughly US$20,600. Mitsubishi has yet to confirm whether the Street‑specific design cues will trickle down to other global Triton variants.
