At the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, Nissan revealed a mid‑cycle refresh of its iconic sports coupe, the Nissan Z, known in Japan as the Fairlady Z.

What’s new on the outside?
The facelift introduces a sharper “G‑nose” front end, reminiscent of the classic Fairlady ZG sold overseas. Redesigned front bumper, side scoops, and a larger grille cut lift on the front axle by 3.3% and reduce aerodynamic drag by 1%.

A dual‑tone wheel design pays homage to the legendary Nissan 300ZX (Z31). The rear spoiler has been removed for a cleaner look, while the Akebono brake calipers now sit behind 380 mm front discs.

New paint option: “Unryu Green”, inspired by the historic Grand Prix Green of the original Fairlady Z.

Inside the cabin
The interior stays largely unchanged, featuring a 12.3‑inch digital instrument cluster and a 9‑inch central touchscreen that deliver the latest infotainment and driver‑assist functions.

Powertrain and performance
- 3.0‑liter twin‑turbo V6 delivering 405 hp (302 kW) and 475 Nm (350 lb‑ft) of torque.
- Standard 9‑speed automatic (9G‑Tronic) with an optional 6‑speed manual transmission – a first for the current generation.
- Re‑tuned ECU to sync ignition timing and throttle response with the new gearbox options.
- Reinforced suspension pistons, enlarged from 40 mm to 45 mm for improved handling.
- Weight: 1,640 kg (manual) vs 1,670 kg (auto), about 10 kg lighter than the previous 2025 model.
