The latest generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, unveiled in August 2022, has finally arrived on Vietnamese roads. Dressed in the marque’s classic Guards Red, the super‑car carries a staggering price tag of VND 17.69 billion (about USD 730,000).

How the GT3 RS Reached Vietnam
Before its local debut, the GT3 RS featured in the 2024 Gumball 3000 rally, showcasing its race‑inspired DNA. Early 2026 saw the first three units officially registered in the country, with this red example becoming the fourth known arrival.

Design and Aerodynamics
Built on a wider body shell, the GT3 RS reinterprets the look of Porsche’s track‑only 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR. The front luggage compartment is replaced by a sophisticated cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s motorsport programmes. A dedicated aerodynamic package delivers up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and a massive 860 kg at 285 km/h.

- Overall dimensions: 4,572 mm × 1,900 mm × 1,322 mm
- Wheelbase: 2,457 mm (longer than the Carrera)
- Front wheels: 20‑inch lightweight GT3 RS multi‑spoke alloys
- Rear wheels: 21‑inch GT3 RS alloys
Optional paint finishes—Pyro Red, Satin Black, or Indigo Blue—add roughly VND 40 million to the base price, but the Guards Red factory paint remains the most sought‑after hue.

Performance Figures
The naturally aspirated 4.0‑liter flat‑six generates 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox, propelling the car from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 296 km/h. In 2022, the GT3 RS set a lap time of 6:44.848 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, making it the third fastest production car on the legendary circuit at that time.

Technology and Interior
Inspired by Formula 1’s DRS, the GT3 RS features electrically actuated wing flaps that adjust rear‑downforce on demand. The steering wheel incorporates rotary switches for drive mode, electronic balance, and traction‑control selection.

Inside, drivers can choose between carbon‑fiber bucket seats or the fully adjustable 18‑position Adaptive Sports seats. A range of personalization options—ranging from carbon‑fibre interior trim to bespoke stitching—allows owners to tailor the cockpit to their taste.

Pricing and Availability
Base price: VND 17.69 billion. Fully loaded with all optional packages (including the coveted Weissach Package, which adds carbon‑fibre aero elements and chassis upgrades) can push the price above VND 20 billion.

According to Znews’s “Tri Thức” report, at least four 992.1‑generation GT3 RS models have been imported into Vietnam by the end of January 2026: one black, two white, and this exclusive Guards Red.
