The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS has turned heads in Ho Chi Minh City, priced at over VND 17.7 billion (~$750k). Discover its specs and how to get yours today.

In August 2022 Porsche unveiled the latest generation of the 911 GT3 RS, a track‑inspired hyper‑sports car that immediately caught the eye of collectors worldwide. The model, drawn from the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars, made a spectacular appearance in the 2024 Gumball 3000 rally before finally landing on Vietnamese roads in early 2026.

Striking Design and Race‑Ready Technology
The new 911 GT3 RS boasts a wider, aggressively sculpted body with sharp aerodynamic cut‑outs. The traditional front luggage compartment is replaced by a high‑performance cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s racing pedigree. Lightweight multi‑spoke alloy wheels—20 inches up front and 21 inches at the rear—complete the visual package.

Buyers can choose from three exclusive paint finishes: Pyro Red, Satin Black, or Indigo Blue, each adding roughly VND 40 million to the price tag. The car spotted in Ho Chi Minh City carries the classic Guards Red hue, paired with the iconic “GT3 RS” racing badge that dates back to 2003.

Performance Figures That Impress
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑liter flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven‑speed PDK dual‑clutch transmission. The result? A blistering 0‑100 km/h sprint in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 296 km/h.

On the Nürburgring Nordschleife the GT3 RS recorded a lap time of 6 minutes 44.848 seconds, making it the third‑fastest production car on the circuit at the time. Its active aerodynamic package can generate up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and a staggering 860 kg at 285 km/h, thanks to an electrically controlled rear wing reminiscent of Formula 1 DRS technology.

Luxury Interior and Customisation
Inside, the driver‑focused cockpit features carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, with an optional 18‑position Adaptive Sports seat for added comfort. A rotary selector on the steering wheel lets the driver toggle between driving modes, electronic balance, and traction controls. Numerous interior elements can be personalised to the owner’s taste.

Pricing and Market Presence in Vietnam
Officially listed at VND 17.69 billion (about US $750,000), the base price already places the GT3 RS among the most expensive cars on Vietnamese roads. Fully loaded with all optional packages—such as the carbon‑rich Weissach Package, which alone costs around VND 2.7 billion—the price can easily surpass VND 20 billion.

According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four 911 GT3 RS units (992.1 chassis) have been imported: one in black, two in white, and the Guards Red model currently on display in Ho Chi Minh City.

With its blend of race‑track performance, striking aesthetics, and exclusivity, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is setting a new benchmark for supercar enthusiasm in Vietnam.
