New Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
The latest-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS rolled into Vietnam earlier this month, turning heads on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Finished in the brand’s classic Guards Red, the car is the third GT3 RS to be spotted on Vietnamese roads.

Design Inspired by the Track
Built on the 992.1 platform, the GT3 RS borrows design cues from Porsche’s racing pedigree – the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR. A wide‑body shell, aggressive air intakes and a stripped‑out front luggage compartment make way for a sophisticated cooling system taken straight from the race car.

Lightweight Wheels and Aerodynamics
The car rides on ultra‑light forged‑aluminium wheels: 20‑inch diameters up front and 21‑inch at the rear. Buyers can elect finishes in Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue for an extra VND 40 million.

Standard aerodynamic components generate up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, rising to 860 kg at 285 km/h, thanks to an active rear wing that operates like the DRS system found in Formula 1.

Performance Figures
Under the hood sits a naturally‑aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Coupled with a seven‑speed PDK gearbox and rear‑wheel drive, the GT3 RS sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 296 km/h. In 2022 it conquered the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:44.848, making it the third‑fastest road‑legal Porsche of its time.

Interior and Technology
The cabin is a driver‑focused cockpit featuring carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, with an optional 18‑position Adaptive Sports seat. A new steering wheel adds rotary switches for drive mode, electronic balance, traction control and suspension settings.

Pricing and Options in Vietnam
Officially listed at VND 17.69 billion (around US $760,000), the GT3 RS can easily exceed VND 20 billion when fully equipped. The Weissach Package – a VND 2.7 billion add‑on that adds carbon‑fiber exterior pieces and a front/rear chassis balancer – is not standard on the observed unit.

Market Presence
According to Znews’ research, by the end of January 2026 at least four 992.1‑generation GT3 RS models have been imported into Vietnam: one in Guards Red, two in white and one in black.

What This Means for Vietnamese Collectors
The arrival of the GT3 RS signals growing demand for ultra‑high‑performance supercars in Southeast Asia. With limited units, exclusive colour options and a price tag that rivals European markets, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is set to become a coveted trophy among the region’s automotive elite.
