In August 2022 Porsche introduced the latest generation of the 911 GT3 RS, a track‑focused supercar that instantly captured the attention of collectors worldwide. Inspired by the racing legends 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR, the new GT3 RS blends aggressive aerodynamics with a raw, driver‑centric experience.

First sightings in Vietnam
After making a splash in the 2024 Gumball 3000 supercar rally, the 911 GT3 RS finally rolled onto Vietnamese roads in early 2026. The third unit to arrive in the country was spotted in Ho Chi Minh City, painted in Porsche’s iconic Guards Red and bearing the classic “GT3 RS” racing badge that dates back to 2003.

Design and aerodynamics
The new GT3 RS features a wider body, massive air intakes and a stripped‑down front luggage compartment replaced by a sophisticated cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s race cars. Its aerodynamic package produces up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and a staggering 860 kg at 285 km/h, aided by an active rear wing that operates similarly to Formula 1 DRS technology.

Lightweight forged‑aluminium wheels complete the look – 20‑inch fronts and 21‑inch rears – with optional finishes in Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue, each adding roughly VND 40 million to the base price.

Performance specs
- Engine: 4.0‑litre naturally‑aspirated flat‑six boxer
- Power: 525 hp (388 kW)
- Torque: 465 Nm (343 lb‑ft)
- Transmission: 7‑speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
- 0–100 km/h: 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 296 km/h (184 mph)
- Lap time at Nürburgring: 6 minutes 44.848 seconds
Interior and driver aids
The cabin stays true to the GT3 RS racing lineage with carbon‑fiber bucket seats as standard, while an 18‑position Adaptive Sports seat is available for those who prefer electronic adjustment. The steering wheel incorporates rotary switches for drive mode, electronic balance, and traction control, giving the driver immediate command over the car’s dynamics.

Pricing and market presence
In Vietnam, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (around US $750,000). Opting for the full suite of customisation packages can push the price past VND 20 billion. The Weissach Package – a carbon‑fiber‑rich trim level that adds chassis reinforcements and additional aerodynamic elements – carries an extra VND 2.7 billion but was not selected for the Guards Red example.

According to Znews’ “Tri Thức” research, at least four GT3 RS units (992.1 chassis) have been imported into Vietnam by the end of January 2026: one in black, two in white and the aforementioned red model.

What’s next?
With its blend of race‑track performance and limited‑edition exclusivity, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS continues to be one of the most coveted high‑performance cars in the Vietnamese market. Prospective buyers should act quickly, as each unit is expected to be snapped up by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
