New Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
In August 2022 Porsche unleashed the latest 911 GT3 RS, a track‑focused supercar that instantly captured the imagination of collectors worldwide. Earlier this month the model rolled into Ho Chi Minh City in the brand‑signature Guards Red, becoming the third GT3 RS known to be on Vietnamese roads.

Design Inspired by Racing Pedigree
The 992‑generation GT3 RS draws directly from Porsche’s 911 GT3‑R and RSR race cars. Its wide‑body shell, aggressive air intakes and stripped‑down rear deck – where the traditional luggage compartment is replaced by a high‑tech cooling system – underline its track‑first DNA.

Lightweight Wheels and Exterior Options
Standard wheels are forged aluminium, 20‑inch at the front and 21‑inch at the rear, with a multi‑spoke “GT3 RS” design. Buyers can choose from Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue finishes for an extra VND 40 million.

The showcased car wears the classic Guards Red paint, complemented by the iconic “GT3 RS” racing badge introduced in 2003.

Aerodynamics and Active Elements
Measuring 4,572 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,322 mm high, the GT3 RS sits on a 2,457 mm wheelbase – noticeably larger than the standard 911 Carrera. While the optional Weissach Package (priced at around VND 2.7 billion) adds extensive carbon‑fiber aero pieces and chassis balancers, the model we saw does not carry this upgrade.

One standout feature is the electrically‑controlled rear wing, reminiscent of Formula 1 DRS technology, which can vary downforce on demand.

Driver‑Centric Cockpit
The steering wheel includes rotary switches for driving mode, electronic balance and traction control. Inside, the cabin comes standard with carbon‑fiber bucket seats, with an optional 18‑position Adaptive Sports seat available for further personalization.

Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six delivering 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque, paired with a 7‑speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) and rear‑wheel drive.

Performance figures are blistering: 0‑100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, top speed of 296 km/h, and a Nürburgring lap of 6:44.848, making it the third quickest production car around the famous circuit at the time.

The aerodynamic package can generate 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, climbing to 860 kg at 285 km/h.

Price and Market Presence in Vietnam
In Vietnam the GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (approximately US$ 750,000). Fully loaded with every optional extra, the price can exceed VND 20 billion.

According to Znews research, at least four GT3 RS units have been imported by the end of January 2026 – one in black, two in white and the Guards Red example featured above.

What’s Next?
With its race‑ready DNA and limited local availability, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is set to become a highly sought‑after collector’s item in Southeast Asia. Enthusiasts and potential buyers should act quickly, as each new registration is likely to attract attention from the region’s supercar community.
