First Glimpse in Ho Chi Minh City
In August 2022 Porsche unveiled the latest generation of the 911 GT3 RS, a track‑focused supercar that instantly became a collector’s dream. After dazzling the global stage at the 2024 Gumball 3000 rally, the model finally rolled onto Vietnamese streets in early 2026, sporting the brand’s iconic Guards Red paint.

Eye‑catching Design and Aerodynamics
The new 911 GT3 RS trades the traditional front trunk for a lightweight cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s racing cars, giving the car a wider stance and aggressive lines. Its aerodynamic package generates up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h and a staggering 860 kg at 285 km/h, thanks to an electrically‑controlled rear wing that works much like the DRS system on Formula 1 cars.

Performance Figures
- Engine: 4.0‑litre naturally‑aspirated flat‑six (Boxer)
- Power: 525 hp (389 kW)
- Torque: 465 Nm
- Transmission: 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch
- 0–100 km/h: 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 296 km/h
In 2022 the car set a Nürburgring lap time of 6:44.848, making it the third‑fastest production vehicle on the legendary circuit at that time.

Interior and Customisation
Inside, drivers can choose between carbon‑fiber bucket seats or the 18‑position Adaptive Sports seats. The steering wheel features additional rotary switches for drive mode, electronic balance, and traction control. Finish options include Pyro Red, Satin Black, or Indigo Blue, each adding roughly VND 40 million to the base price.

Optional Weissach Package
While the standard GT3 RS is already a track monster, the optional Weissach Package—priced near VND 2.7 billion—adds carbon‑fiber exterior elements, extra front and rear chassis braces, and other lightweight components. The car examined in Vietnam does not carry this package.

Pricing and Availability in Vietnam
The base price for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Vietnam starts at VND 17.69 billion (approximately USD 720,000). Fully loaded with all optional extras, the price can exceed VND 20 billion.

According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units (992.1 generation) have been imported: one in black, two in white, and the featured Guards Red example.

What’s Next for Enthusiasts?
With its limited numbers and eye‑catching heritage, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is set to become a prized asset for Vietnam’s high‑performance car community. Keep an eye on upcoming track days and the potential arrival of the Weissach‑spec model.
