The latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS rolls into Ho Chi Minh City in striking Guards Red, priced at VND 17.69 billion. Discover specs, options, and Vietnam’s growing supercar scene.

Introduced in August 2022, the newest Porsche 911 GT3 RS has turned heads in Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the brand’s iconic Guards Red paint. It is only the third RS model to be spotted on Vietnamese roads, underscoring the country’s burgeoning appetite for ultra‑high‑performance supercars.

Launch and Arrival
The 992.1‑generation GT3 RS first dazzled collectors worldwide with its race‑inspired aesthetics, drawing cues from the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR. After a cameo in the 2024 Gumball 3000, the car finally received its domestic registration at the start of 2026.

Design and Aerodynamics
Built for speed, the GT3 RS features a dramatically widened body, aggressive carbon‑fiber cut‑outs, and a front‑courtesy luggage compartment replaced by a high‑efficiency cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s motorsport programme.

One of the standout technologies is an electrically controlled active rear wing, working like the DRS system on Formula 1 cars to modulate downforce on demand. At 200 km/h the car generates roughly 409 kg of downforce, climbing to 860 kg at 285 km/h.

Wheels, Colours and Extras
- Front: 20‑inch alloy wheels
- Rear: 21‑inch alloy wheels
- Standard paint: Guards Red (classic Porsche hue)
- Optional finishes – Pyro Red, Satin Black, Indigo Blue – add about VND 40 million
Interior and Controls
The cockpit comes standard with carbon‑fiber bucket seats, while buyers can upgrade to 18‑way Adaptive Sports seats. The steering wheel is equipped with rotary knobs to adjust driving mode, electronic balance and traction control on the fly.

Powertrain
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp at 7,500 rpm and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent through Porsche’s 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch transmission to the rear wheels.

Performance Figures
- 0‑100 km/h: 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 296 km/h
- Nürburgring lap: 6:44.848 (third‑fastest road‑legal car at the time)
Pricing and Options
In Vietnam the GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (around US$750,000). Fully loaded – including the coveted Weissach Package (carbon‑fiber exterior trim, front and rear chassis balance bars, and more – priced near VND 2.7 billion) – the price can exceed VND 20 billion.

Vietnam’s GT3 RS Fleet
According to Znews research, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units have been imported: one in black, two in white, and the Guards Red example that made the recent appearance.

With each new arrival, Vietnam’s super‑car market continues to accelerate. Stay tuned for the latest Porsche releases and exclusive performance‑car news.
