A brand‑new Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Guards Red hits Ho Chi Minh City, priced at 17.7 billion VND (≈$750k). Explore its specs, options, and what it means for Vietnam’s supercar market.

The latest generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been spotted cruising the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, flaunting the iconic Guards Red paint. Priced at roughly 17.7 billion Vietnamese đồng (about US$750,000), it is the third RS model known to be on Vietnamese roads.

Why the GT3 RS Is a Collector’s Dream
Unveiled in August 2022, the 992.1‑series GT3 RS draws heavily from Porsche’s racing pedigree, echoing the design language of the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR track cars. Its wide body, aggressive air intakes, and stripped‑down front luggage area (replaced by a sophisticated cooling system) give the car a purpose‑built, track‑ready appearance.

Performance Figures
- Engine: 4.0‑litre naturally‑aspirated flat‑six
- Power: 525 hp (390 kW) at 7,500 rpm
- Torque: 465 Nm at 6,250 rpm
- 0–100 km/h: 3.2 seconds
- Top speed: 296 km/h (184 mph)
- Transmission: 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch
The GT3 RS also boasts an impressive Nürburgring lap time of 6:44.848, making it one of the fastest production cars of its era.

Design Highlights & Optional Extras
The car sits on lightweight multi‑spoke alloy wheels – 20‑inch up front and 21‑inch at the rear. Buyers can choose from finish options such as Pyro Red, Satin Black, or Indigo Blue, each adding roughly VND 40 million (≈$1,700) to the price.

Standard interior features carbon‑fiber bucket seats, while an optional Adaptive Sports seat offers 18‑way electric adjustment. A distinctive “GT3 RS” racing badge, in use since 2003, adorns the vehicle.

Aerodynamics & Technology
The GT3 RS includes an active rear wing and a front‑splitter that generate up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, rising to 860 kg at 285 km/h. A DRS‑style electronic wing, borrowed from Formula 1 technology, lets drivers adjust rear‑end pressure on demand.

Note: the ultra‑lightweight Weissach Package – worth about VND 2.7 billion – is not fitted on the Vietnam units. That package adds carbon‑fiber exterior elements and additional chassis reinforcement.

Pricing and Market Presence in Vietnam
Base price: VND 17.69 billion (≈$750,000). Fully optioned, the price can exceed VND 20 billion (over $850,000). By the end of January 2026, at least four GT3 RS cars have been imported: one in Guards Red, two in white, and one in black.

The arrival of the GT3 RS underscores a growing appetite among Vietnamese high‑net‑worth individuals for ultra‑high‑performance supercars, further diversifying the country’s exotic‑car market.
