The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS rolled into Ho Chi Minh City in iconic Guards Red, with a starting price of VND 17.7 billion. Explore its performance specs and options today.

In early 2026, a brand‑new Porsche 911 GT3 RS turned heads in Ho Chi Minh City, painted in the marque’s classic Guards Red. It’s the third of its kind to be seen cruising Vietnam’s streets, following a black and two white examples imported earlier this year.

Launch and Arrival
First unveiled in August 2022, the third‑generation 911 GT3 RS quickly became a coveted model among collectors, thanks to its race‑derived design cues taken from the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR competition cars. Although the model featured in the 2024 Gumball 3000 supercar rally, its first civilian registrations in Vietnam only occurred at the start of 2026.

Design and Aerodynamics
The GT3 RS is defined by a wide‑track body, aggressive air‑intake sculpting, and a stripped‑down front storage area replaced by advanced cooling systems borrowed from Porsche’s racing pedigree. Standard wheels are ultra‑light aluminium multi‑spoke alloys – 20‑inch up front and 21‑inch at the rear – with optional finishes in Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue that add roughly VND 40 million to the price.

Most eye‑catching is the active rear wing, an electrically controlled element that works like the DRS system on Formula 1 cars, adjusting downforce on demand. At 200 km/h the aerodynamic package generates about 409 kg of downforce, rising to 860 kg when the car reaches 285 km/h.

Performance Figures
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer delivering 525 hp (390 kW) and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox. The GT3 RS rockets from 0‑100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 296 km/h. In 2022 it set a Nürburgring lap time of 6 minutes 44.848 seconds, making it the third fastest production car on the famous circuit at that time.

Pricing and Options
Local pricing starts at VND 17.69 billion (approximately US$750,000). Adding the full suite of optional extras – such as the carbon‑fiber Weissach Package, which alone costs around VND 2.7 billion – can push the total beyond VND 20 billion.

- Wheel finishes: Pyro Red, Satin Black, Indigo Blue (+VND 40 million)
- Weissach Package: carbon‑fiber exterior parts, front and rear axle balance bars (+VND 2.7 billion)
- Interior: carbon‑fiber bucket seats or 18‑way electrically adjustable Adaptive Sports seats
Market Presence in Vietnam
According to Znews research, at least four 992.1‑generation 911 GT3 RS models have been imported into Vietnam by the end of January 2026 – a black unit, two white, and the current Guards Red example.

With its race‑ready technology, striking design, and a price tag that rivals many hypercars, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is poised to become a marquee figure in Vietnam’s emerging supercar scene.
