In August 2022 Porsche unveiled the latest generation of its track‑focused 911 GT3 RS, instantly becoming a favorite among collectors for its aggressive styling inspired by the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars.

First sightings in Southeast Asia
After appearing in the 2024 Gumball 3000 super‑car rally, the model finally received its Vietnamese licence plates in early 2026. The car spotted in Ho Chi Minh City sports the brand‑classic Guards Red paint, making it the third GT3 RS to roll on local roads.

Design and aerodynamics
The new GT3 RS is built for speed. A wider body, pronounced split‑blade rear wing and extensive carbon‑fiber sections give it a razor‑sharp silhouette. The front luggage compartment is replaced by a cooling system borrowed from Porsche’s race cars, while the rear features a movable aero‑flap operated electrically—similar to the DRS system on F1 machines. At 4 572 mm long, 1 900 mm wide and 1 322 mm tall, the RS is larger than the standard 911 Carrera, with a 2 457 mm wheelbase that enhances stability at high speed.

Powertrain and performance
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑liter flat‑six boxer engine delivering 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent through a seven‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox to the rear wheels. The result is an exhilarating 0‑100 km/h sprint in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 296 km/h. In 2022 the car conquered the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6 min 44.848 sec, making it the third fastest production car on the legendary track at that time.

Interior and driver aids
Inside, the GT3 RS comes standard with carbon‑fiber bucket seats. Buyers can upgrade to 18‑position Adaptive Sports seats with electronic adjustment. A steering wheel loaded with rotary controls lets the driver fine‑tune the drive mode, electronic balance, and traction settings on the fly. Additional options include a Weissach Package—priced at roughly VND 2.7 billion—that adds extra carbon‑fiber exterior components and front/rear chassis braces for even greater rigidity.

Pricing and options in Vietnam
In Vietnam the GT3 RS starts at VND 17.69 billion (about US$ 720 k). Choosing premium finishes such as Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue adds roughly VND 40 million. Fully optioned, the price can exceed VND 20 billion.

How many have arrived?
According to local automotive data hub Tri Thức – Znews, at least four GT3 RS units (992.1 series) have been imported by the end of January 2026: one in black, two in white and the Guards Red example highlighted here.

With its race‑derived technology, striking design and sky‑high price tag, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is set to remain one of Vietnam’s most exclusive supercars.
