The latest-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS has made a splash in Ho Chi Minh City, turning heads in its iconic Guards Red paint. This high‑performance sports car, valued at more than VND 17.7 billion (roughly $750,000), marks only the third GT3 RS to hit Vietnamese roads.

Design Inspiration and Debut
Unveiled in August 2022, the new 911 GT3 RS draws heavily from Porsche’s racing pedigree, echoing the sleek lines of the 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR race cars. Though it first appeared on the 2024 Gumball 3000 route, the model only received its first Vietnamese registration in early 2026.

Exterior Highlights
The GT3 RS boasts a wide‑track body, aggressive carbon‑fiber clamshells and a front section stripped of a traditional luggage compartment to make way for a race‑derived cooling system. Lightweight multi‑spoke alloy wheels complete the look—20‑inch at the front and 21‑inch at the rear.

Buyers can choose from three factory‑finished colours: Pyro Red, Satin Black or Indigo Blue, each adding roughly VND 40 million to the base price. The featured car opted for the classic Guards Red, complemented by a genuine GT3 RS race badge dating back to 2003.

Dimensions and Aerodynamics
With overall dimensions of 4,572 mm × 1,900 mm × 1,322 mm and a 2,457 mm wheelbase, the GT3 RS sits larger than the standard 911 Carrera. While the optional Weissach Package—offering extensive carbon‑fiber exterior work and additional suspension upgrades—is priced near VND 2.7 billion, this particular specimen does not include it.

One of the most striking features is the active rear wing, an electrically controlled element that works like Formula 1 DRS, adjusting downforce on demand. At 200 km/h the car generates 409 kg of downforce, rising to 860 kg at 285 km/h.

Interior and Technology
The cabin centers around race‑ready bucket seats wrapped in carbon‑fiber, with an optional 18‑way Adaptive Sports seat for added comfort. The steering wheel is equipped with rotary switches that let drivers fine‑tune drive mode, electronic balance, and traction control on the fly.

Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 4.0‑litre flat‑six boxer engine, delivering 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7‑speed PDK dual‑clutch gearbox. The GT3 RS rockets from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 296 km/h.

In 2022 the model set a Nürburgring lap time of 6:44.848, making it the third quickest production car on the famed circuit at that time.

Pricing and Availability in Vietnam
Officially listed at VND 17.69 billion, the GT3 RS can easily exceed VND 20 billion when fully optioned. According to Znews’ research, by the end of January 2026 at least four GT3 RS units (992.1 series) have been imported into Vietnam: one in black, two in white, and the Guards Red example highlighted here.

Whether you’re a collector chasing a piece of Porsche’s racing heritage or an enthusiast craving a road‑legal track monster, the 911 GT3 RS offers an exhilarating blend of heritage, technology, and raw performance.
