Finnish startup Verge Motorcycles is turning heads with the launch of two groundbreaking models – the TS Pro and the TS Ultra. The headline act, the TS Pro, is the world’s first electric motorcycle that runs on a solid‑state battery, a technology promising faster recharging, dramatically longer range, and unrivaled safety.

Revolutionary Solid‑State Battery Technology

Developed by Verge’s own subsidiary, DoNUT Lab, the solid‑state cells deliver an energy density of 400 Wh/kg, roughly double that of conventional lithium‑ion packs. The batteries are engineered for a life‑span that matches the vehicle itself – up to 100,000 charge cycles – and they are fire‑proof, even when subjected to extreme temperatures from -30 °C to 100 °C, retaining more than 99 % of capacity.

Battery Options and Fast Charging

Customers can choose between two battery packages:

  • 20.2 kWh pack – delivers an estimated 349 km (217 mi) of riding range.
  • 33.3 kWh pack – pushes the range to an impressive 595 km (369 mi).

Both options support the new NACS 200 kW fast‑charging standard, adding roughly 299 km (186 mi) of range in just a 10‑minute charge.

Performance Specs

  • Motor output: 137 hp (101 kW)
  • Torque: 998 Nm
  • 0–96 km/h (0–60 mph) in 3.5 seconds
  • Top speed: 200 km/h (124 mph)
  • Weight: 235 kg (518 lb)
  • Seat height: 780 mm (30.7 in)

Pricing and Availability

The TS Pro is priced at US$29,900, positioning it as a high‑performance, premium‑style electric motorcycle. Verge plans to roll the model out in the first half of 2026, targeting markets that demand both cutting‑edge technology and exhilarating performance.

With its solid‑state battery, blistering acceleration, and a price that challenges traditional sport bikes, the Verge TS Pro could well redefine what riders expect from electric motorcycles.
