Finnish startup Verge Motorcycles has just turned heads with the launch of two new models – the TS Pro and TS Ultra – that promise to redefine electric two‑wheel performance. At the heart of the TS Pro lies a groundbreaking solid‑state battery, the first of its kind to power a production motorcycle.

Solid‑State Battery Breakthrough

The TS Pro’s battery is supplied by DoNUT Lab, a Verge subsidiary that has engineered a solid‑state pack capable of ultra‑fast charging and almost double the range of conventional lithium‑ion cells. Two capacity options are offered:

  • 20.2 kWh – up to 349 km (217 mi) of riding
  • 33.3 kWh – up to 595 km (370 mi) of riding

Both packs can be topped up in just 10 minutes using Verge’s 200 kW NACS charger, delivering roughly 299 km (186 mi) of range per charge. The solid‑state cells boast an energy density of 400 Wh/kg – about twice that of today’s EV batteries – and are rated for 100,000 charge cycles. Even in extreme temperatures from ‑30 °C to 100 °C, the packs retain more than 99% of their capacity.

Performance & Specs

Powering the TS Pro is a 137‑horsepower electric motor that produces a massive 998 Nm of torque. The bike accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h (0‑60 mph) in just 3.5 seconds and tops out at a thrilling 200 km/h (124 mph). Weighing in at 235 kg (518 lb) and featuring a seat height of 780 mm, the TS Pro blends high‑performance dynamics with everyday ergonomics.

Pricing, Availability & Safety

Verge has set the TS Pro’s price at US$29,900, positioning it competitively against premium gas‑powered sport bikes. Delivery is slated for the first half of 2026, with the solid‑state battery’s lifespan matching the bike’s overall service life – a stark contrast to traditional batteries that require frequent replacement.

Safety is a core advantage of the solid‑state design. Without liquid electrolytes, the cells are non‑flammable, reducing fire risk dramatically. Rigorous testing under harsh conditions confirms the battery’s durability and reliability.

Why It Matters

The Verge TS Pro signals a significant shift for electric motorcycles, showing that solid‑state technology can move beyond prototypes to real‑world, market‑ready machines. With industry‑leading range, rapid charging, and super‑charged performance, it sets a new benchmark for what electric two‑wheelers can achieve.

Stay tuned for updates as the TS Pro approaches its 2026 launch – the future of motorcycling is arriving faster than ever.
