Finland’s Verge Motorcycles has taken a bold step into the future, unveiling the Verge TS Pro – the world’s inaugural electric motorcycle equipped with a solid‑state battery. The company says the new power‑train promises faster charging, dramatically longer range, and a safety profile that outstrips conventional lithium‑ion packs.

Revolutionary Solid‑State Battery

The TS Pro’s battery is produced by DoNUT Lab, a Verge subsidiary that specializes in next‑generation energy storage. Unlike traditional liquid electrolyte cells, the solid‑state unit delivers a 400 Wh/kg energy density, roughly double the average for current EV batteries, and is rated for 100,000 charge‑discharge cycles. The cells retain more than 99% of capacity even after extreme temperature testing from –30 °C to 100 °C, and they are fire‑resistant by design.

Range and Charging

Buyers will have two battery‑package options:

  • 20.2 kWh pack – up to 349 km (217 mi) of real‑world riding
  • 33.3 kWh pack – up to 595 km (369 mi) on a single charge

Both configurations support a 200 kW NACS fast‑charger. In just ten minutes of charging, the TS Pro can add roughly 299 km (186 mi) of range, making long road trips practical.

Performance Figures

Under the seat sits a 137 hp (102 kW) electric motor that produces a massive 998 Nm of torque. The bike weighs 235 kg and can sprint from 0 to 96 km/h (0‑60 mph) in a blistering 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 200 km/h (124 mph), and the seat height is a rider‑friendly 780 mm.

Pricing, Availability and Timeline

The Verge TS Pro is slated for launch in the first half of 2026, with an MSRP of US$29,900. The pricing includes the motor, battery pack, and the 200 kW fast‑charging system. Verge promises that the solid‑state cells will last the entire lifespan of the motorcycle, eliminating the need for periodic pack replacements common with traditional lithium‑ion technologies.

With safety, range, and performance all hitting new marks, the Verge TS Pro aims to set a benchmark for premium electric motorcycles worldwide.
