Swedish automaker Volvo has pulled the trigger on the EX60, a new electric SUV that promises to shake up the EV market. Built on Volvo’s next‑generation SPA3 platform, the EX60 combines a striking design, industry‑leading range, and ultra‑fast charging that rivals even the most premium competitors.

Unmatched EPA Range

According to EPA estimates, the top‑spec EX60 P12 AWD can travel up to 644 km (400 miles) on a single charge—more than the long‑range Tesla Model Y. This range advantage stems from a high‑energy‑density, block‑installed battery pack and a lightweight, aerodynamically tuned body (Cd 0.26).

400 kW Fast‑Charging Capability

Volvo’s 400‑kilowatt DC fast‑charging system adds roughly 278 km (173 miles) of range in just ten minutes. The EX60 also connects directly to Tesla’s Supercharger network, giving owners broader access to high‑speed chargers across North America and Europe.

Powertrain Line‑up

The EX60 arrives in three drivetrain configurations and seven trim levels:

  • P6 RWD – rear‑wheel drive, up to 499 km (310 miles) EPA range.
  • P10 AWD – all‑wheel drive, 515 km (320 miles) EPA range.
  • P12 AWD – top‑tier all‑wheel drive, 644 km (400 miles) EPA range.

All versions feature Volvo‑designed electric motors, a new HuginCore control system, and a ten‑year battery warranty—an essential reassurance for a brand debuting a fresh EV architecture.
