Yamaha has officially launched its first electric two‑wheel in the Indian market – the EC‑06 – priced at $1,860. The model arrives in selected metros, painted in a sleek white‑blue finish.
Joint Development with River
Rather than being a fully in‑house design, the EC‑06 is a collaborative effort between Yamaha and Bengaluru‑based startup River. The bike shares its platform with River’s Indie model and is assembled at River’s Hoskote factory in Karnataka, bearing the Yamaha badge.
