The McLaren Artura hypercar sees its price drop in Vietnam after a new hybrid tax incentive. Discover the latest pricing, specs and savings today.

The iconic McLaren Artura hypercar is now more affordable for Vietnamese buyers, thanks to a government‑backed tax break for hybrid vehicles that took effect on January 1, 2026.

New pricing figures

McLaren’s official Vietnamese distributor, S&S, announced the revised list prices:

  • Artura Coupe: VND 15.29 billion (down from VND 14.69 billion at launch).
  • Artura Spider: VND 16.66 billion (previously VND 16.99 billion).

While the numbers look slightly higher than the 2022 launch prices, the reduction is significant when the current USD/VND exchange rate is taken into account.

Why the price looks different

Supercar pricing in Vietnam isn’t fixed; it’s adjusted regularly to reflect the fluctuating USD exchange rate. When the Artura first arrived in 2022, the rate was about VND 22,600 per US dollar, making the VND 14.7 billion price roughly $650,000. Today the rate sits near VND 26,000 per dollar, which would translate to about $570,000 for the same VND amount. The new VND 15.29 billion price thus represents a discount of roughly VND 1.4 billion (about $50,000) compared with the current exchange‑rate‑adjusted value.

Hybrid tax incentive explained

Vietnam’s latest fiscal policy offers a reduced registration tax for hybrid vehicles, aiming to boost greener mobility. The Artura, with its 3.0‑litre twin‑turbo V6 paired with a 95‑horsepower electric motor, qualifies as a hybrid and therefore benefits from the lower tax bracket.

Artura performance at a glance

  • Combined output: 700 hp (605 hp from the V6, 95 hp electric)
  • Torque: 720 Nm
  • 0‑100 km/h (0‑62 mph): 3.0 seconds
  • Top speed: 330 km/h (205 km/h in pure electric mode)
  • Electric‑only range: up to 33 km

These figures place the Artura firmly among the world’s most exciting plug‑in hybrid hypercars.

What this means for buyers

For enthusiasts considering a high‑performance hybrid, the price adjustment makes the Artura a more compelling option in the Vietnamese market. The reduced tax burden not only lowers the purchase price but also signals a broader shift toward eco‑friendly luxury vehicles.

Potential owners should act quickly, as inventory is limited and the tax incentive could be subject to future revisions.
