Hyundai is gearing up to launch the 2026 facelift of its popular Stargazer MPV in Vietnam. After debuting in Indonesia earlier this year under the names Stargazer and Stargazer Carten X, the refreshed model brings noticeable upgrades inside and out.

Bold Exterior Refresh
The new Stargazer sports a larger front grille that gives the face a more commanding presence. A slim LED lighting strip now sits beneath the Hyundai badge, linking the main headlamps for a sleek, unified look. The side air intakes have been enlarged and repositioned just beside the grille, while the wheel arches have been subtly reshaped.

Even the 17‑inch alloy wheels receive a fresh design, keeping the same size but featuring new spoke patterns. At the rear, the tail‑lamp assembly and bumper have been modernised, delivering a sharper silhouette.

Tech‑Rich Interior
Inside, the cabin feels more contemporary. A 10.25‑inch touchscreen stretches across the centre console, offering seamless connectivity and navigation. The instrument cluster has been upgraded to a larger digital panel, mirroring the layout found in the Santa Fe.

Control buttons are reorganised for intuitive access, and a bigger electronic steering wheel provides quick shortcuts to common functions. For added comfort, the driver’s seat now includes an optional cooling feature.

Powertrain and Efficiency
The facelift retains the proven Smartstream 1.5‑litre gasoline engine, delivering 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through Hyundai’s intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT), a smooth‑shifting CVT that prioritises fuel efficiency.

Pricing and Market Position
Current Stargazer models in Vietnam are priced between VND 489 million and VND 599 million across three trim levels. Official pricing for the 2026 facelift has not yet been announced.

The Stargazer competes directly with other value‑focused MPVs such as the Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Veloz Cross, and Honda BR‑V, offering a blend of space, technology, and Hyundai’s reputation for reliability.

Launch Outlook
While the exact release date remains under wraps, industry insiders expect Hyundai to open bookings later this year. Stay tuned for the official announcement and be ready to experience the new Stargazer’s refreshed design and upgraded features.
