The Aurus Senat 900 arrives as Russia’s latest ultra‑luxury sedan, blending opulent craftsmanship with cutting‑edge performance to challenge the world’s most prestigious marques.
Design and Exterior
Inspired by the Chinese Hongqi H9, the Senat 900 features a newly designed front grille that borrows styling cues from Aurus’s current lineup, while retaining the rear silhouette of its Chinese counterpart. The vehicle’s length stretches to 5,140 mm, offering both a four‑seat VIP version and a traditional five‑seat configuration.
Interior Luxury and Technology
The cabin mirrors the Hongqi H9’s spacious layout, complete with the iconic floating logo. Premium Nappa leather upholstery, handcrafted wood trim, and seats equipped with heating, ventilation and massage functions create a first‑class experience. An advanced ADAS suite assists the driver, while a full suite of comfort features rounds out the interior.
Performance and Powertrain
Under the hood sits a 3.0‑liter twin‑turbo V6 delivering 326 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Power is sent through an eight‑speed automatic transmission to a permanent‑all‑wheel‑drive (AWD) system, propelling the sedan from 0‑100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. Standard equipment also includes a hydraulic brake‑by‑wire system.
Dimensions and Configurations
Measuring 5,140 mm long, the Senat 900 is offered in two trims: a four‑seat VIP edition and a five‑seat traditional version. Both share the same refined cabin dimensions inherited from the Hongqi H9, and the vehicle’s side profile remains unchanged from its Chinese predecessor.
Pricing and Availability
Production began at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg. The base price starts at 12 million rubles (≈ $162,800) for the five‑seat model and 12.5 million rubles (≈ $169,600) for the VIP four‑seat version.
