The Geely EX2, a compact fully‑electric hatchback, is set to debut an upgraded version in China on 28 May. The refreshed model not only sports subtle exterior tweaks but also pushes its driving range to a maximum of 460 km per charge under the CLTC test cycle.
Design and Dimensions
Measuring 4,135 mm in length with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, the EX2 retains its compact footprint while adopting a new Galaxy‑branded logo and optional aerodynamic Aero Hubcap wheels. The rear suspension remains a multi‑link independent setup, ensuring a comfortable ride.

Battery and Performance
The core upgrade centers on the lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery pack, now offered in two capacities:
- 35 kWh – delivering up to 360 km (CLTC)
- 47 kWh – delivering up to 460 km (CLTC)
In Vietnam, the current EX2 is equipped with a 44.1 kWh battery that provides a 395 km range. Both versions keep the rear‑wheel‑drive layout, with motor outputs of 58 kW (small pack) and 85 kW (large pack). Fast‑charging capability lets the battery go from 30 % to 80 % in just 21 minutes.
Cooling Advantage
All EX2 variants feature a liquid‑cooled battery system, a notable edge over rivals such as the BYD Seagull and Wuling Bingo, which often rely on air cooling for their low‑cost models.

Pricing and Market Position
The price for the new generation has not been announced yet. The existing EX2 sells in Vietnam for between VND 459 million and VND 499 million (roughly USD 10,100–12,900), positioning it against competitors like the BYD Dolphin, Atto 2 and Wuling Bingo.
Sales Success
Since its launch in 2024 under the Xingyuan name within Geely’s Geome sub‑brand, the EX2 has become the best‑selling model in the Chinese market, with 465,775 units delivered in 2025 according to China EV DataTracker.
With a longer range, upgraded battery options and a competitive price point, the new Geely EX2 aims to capture a larger share of the rapidly growing affordable EV segment.
