Mazda Vietnam has strategically expanded its C-SUV lineup by introducing the 2.0L Deluxe version of the Mazda CX-5. Aimed at budget-conscious buyers, this new entry point makes one of the most popular SUVs in the region more accessible than ever.

Pricing and Special Offers

The new Mazda CX-5 2.0L Deluxe enters the market with a listed price of 699 million VND. To further stimulate demand, Mazda is offering a special discount of 10 million VND for customers who purchase the vehicle during April, bringing the actual price down to 689 million VND.

This move is part of a broader strategy to maintain its competitive edge in the C-SUV segment, where pricing sensitivity plays a massive role in consumer decision-making.

What Changed? Comparing the Deluxe Trims

To achieve this lower price point, Mazda has streamlined the equipment list. According to dealership sources, the new version—internally referred to as the Deluxe E—is a stripped-down version of the previous Deluxe trim.

Key features removed to lower costs:

  • Heat-insulating window film
  • Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Roof rails (baga mui)
  • Emergency rescue kit
  • Decorative exhaust trim on the rear bumper

Meanwhile, the original 2.0L Deluxe has been rebranded as the 2.0L Deluxe Option. This version retains all its previous premium features and remains priced at 749 million VND, providing a clear choice for buyers who prefer full functionality over the lowest price.

Availability and Delivery Timelines

Due to the high anticipation for this budget-friendly model, availability is currently limited. Dealerships report that there is no immediate stock for delivery. Customers interested in the new Deluxe trim will need to place a deposit and wait approximately 30 to 45 days to receive their vehicle.

Market Position and Competition

The Mazda CX-5 remains a powerhouse in Vietnam’s automotive landscape. By the end of March, the model recorded 4,643 units sold, maintaining its position as the leader in the C-SUV segment since the start of the year.

However, the competition is heating up. In March, the VinFast VF 7 managed to outperform the CX-5 in monthly sales, signaling a shift in consumer interest toward electric vehicles. By introducing a version under 700 million VND, Mazda is fighting back to recapture the mass market.

A Comprehensive Lineup

With the addition of the 2.0L Deluxe, the Mazda CX-5 now boasts a total of 8 different versions. This wide range allows Mazda to cover a vast price spectrum, from the entry-level 699 million VND up to the top-tier 979 million VND, ensuring there is a CX-5 for every type of driver.
