A Finnish tuner transformed a 2006 Range Rover Sport into a Rolls-Royce Cullinan lookalike. See the wild results and cost here!

The Range Rover Sport has long been a symbol of versatile luxury and off-road capability. Since its debut in 2005, evolving from the Range Stormer concept to the current third-generation (L461), it has maintained a loyal following. However, a recent project from Helsinki, Finland, has taken the concept of “customization” to a whole new level.

A Budget-Friendly Path to Ultra-Luxury
A tuning shop in Helsinki recently listed a first-generation Range Rover Sport (L320) for sale, but this isn’t your average used SUV. The vehicle has undergone a dramatic aesthetic overhaul designed to mimic the presence of the ultra-luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Interestingly, the transformation didn’t happen through a bespoke design house. According to the seller, the Rolls-Royce-inspired components were sourced via eBay, with total modifications costing approximately 35,000 Euros (roughly $40,000 USD). To complete the prestige look, the build includes a transparent “Spirit of Ecstasy” ornament on the hood, supplemented by additional LED auxiliary lighting and fog lamps.

Bold Exterior and Modernized Interior
The visual impact is amplified by a striking Midnight Purple paint job, featuring a color-shifting effect that changes depending on the viewing angle. To balance the luxury with a sporty edge, the tuner added carbon fiber accents, installed massive 22-inch alloy wheels, and lowered the suspension for a more planted stance.

Inside, the cabin has been completely reimagined. The interior features high-contrast orange accents and a modernized cockpit. Key upgrades include:

- Tesla-style central display: A large vertical screen that replaces the dated factory unit.
- Enhanced Connectivity: Integration of Carlink 2.0, providing full support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Custom Upholstery: While it lacks the iconic “Starlight” headliner found in genuine Rolls-Royces, the interior is finished with high-quality synthetic materials and elegant diamond-stitched patterning.
Under the Hood: The Reality Check
Despite the opulent exterior, the heart of the beast remains a humble 2006 workhorse. The vehicle is powered by a 2.7L V6 turbocharged diesel engine, producing 190 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. Reflecting its nearly two decades of service, the odometer currently reads 304,000 km (approximately 189,000 miles).

A Polarizing Reception
As is often the case with bold automotive experiments, the “Cullinan-inspired” Range Rover Sport sparked intense debate across social media. While some praised the ambition and the unique color palette, others questioned the blending of two very different luxury identities. Following the wave of mixed reactions, the vehicle was eventually withdrawn from the Finnish online marketplace.

For those seeking the real deal, the actual Rolls-Royce Cullinan remains the pinnacle of SUV luxury. In the current pre-owned market, a genuine Cullinan typically commands a price tag between $500,000 and $600,000—making this Finnish modification a much more affordable, albeit controversial, alternative.
