Following the official debut of the VF MPV 7 in India—priced at 2.449 million Rupees (approximately 740 million VNĐ)—VinFast has signaled that it is far from finished. The Vietnamese EV manufacturer is now unveiling an ambitious roadmap to blanket the Indian market, targeting everything from commercial fleets and budget city commuters to compact SUVs.
The Limo Green: Powering the Future of Urban Transport
To penetrate the massive ride-hailing and taxi sectors, VinFast is introducing the Limo Green, a specialized version of the VF MPV 7. Designed specifically for transport units and mobile platforms, this variant focuses on utility and cost-efficiency.
To ensure a more competitive price point below 2.449 million Rupees, the Limo Green features a streamlined set of specifications. Key adjustments include:
- Exterior: Smaller wheels and a simplified front and rear bumper design.
- Interior: Durable black fabric seats and a functional 10.1-inch entertainment screen.
- Performance: Despite the cost-cutting, it retains the powerful 204 hp motor, 280 Nm of torque, and a 60.13 kWh battery, offering a real-world range of roughly 500 km.
Industry insiders expect the VinFast Limo Green to hit the Indian streets by the end of April.
The VF 3: The Mini-SUV Disruptor
After creating a sensation in Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, the VinFast VF 3 is heading to India to take on the MG Comet EV. This compact powerhouse is the ideal choice for first-time EV buyers or those navigating densely packed urban centers.
The VF 3 blends a rugged SUV aesthetic with a compact footprint, featuring two doors, four seats, and an impressive ground clearance of 191 mm. Under the hood, it sports an 18.64 kWh battery providing a range of about 210 km, with a brisk 0-50 km/h acceleration time of just 5.3 seconds.
The VF 3 is expected to go on sale in India by the end of this year, with pricing estimated between 800,000 and 1.1 million Rupees.
The VF 5: Competing in the Sub-Compact SUV Segment
To capture the highly competitive sub-compact SUV market, VinFast will deploy the VF 5. This model is expected to mirror the modern design language of its larger sibling, the VF 6, featuring the signature V-shaped LED lighting and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the VF 5 offers a tech-forward cabin equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a panoramic sunroof.
Buyers will likely have a choice between two battery configurations:
- 29.6 kWh: Approximately 268 km per charge.
- 37.23 kWh: Approximately 326 km per charge.
The VF 5 is slated for an Indian launch between late this year and early 2027, with an expected price range of 1.2 to 1.8 million Rupees.
