The high-performance Xiaomi YU7 GT electric SUV has been spotted testing in Germany. Explore its 1,000HP specs and launch details here!

Xiaomi is rapidly expanding its footprint in the automotive world, and the latest sighting suggests they are aiming for the high-performance crown. The Xiaomi YU7 GT, a powerhouse electric SUV, was recently spotted tearing up the legendary Nurburgring track in Germany, appearing completely without camouflage.

A Bold Appearance on the World’s Toughest Track
While some rumors suggested the model might be named the YU7 Ultra, the sightings at Nurburgring have confirmed the “GT” moniker. Dressed in a striking red livery with racing decals and bearing numbers 11 and 12, at least two prototypes were seen during the testing phase.

Visually, the YU7 GT is a sharpened version of the standard crossover. It features optimized aerodynamic vents in the front bumper to enhance cooling and airflow. While it doesn’t yet sport the aggressive hood vents seen on the SU7 Ultra, the GT version makes its performance intentions clear with 21-inch alloy wheels and massive carbon-ceramic brakes for extreme stopping power.

Built for Dominance: Dimensions and Platform
The YU7 GT is built on the sophisticated Modena platform, the same foundation used for the Xiaomi SU7 sedan. According to data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the vehicle boasts impressive proportions:

- Length: 5,015 mm
- Width: 2,007 mm
- Height: 1,597 mm
- Wheelbase: 3,000 mm
- Curb Weight: Approximately 2,460 kg
To manage this size and weight at high speeds, Xiaomi has redesigned the rear diffuser and maintained a sleek roof spoiler to ensure stability during high-velocity maneuvers.

Insane Performance: 1,000+ Horsepower
Under the skin, the Xiaomi YU7 GT is a marvel of electric engineering. It employs a dual-motor setup that delivers a combined output of 1,004 horsepower:

- Front Motor: Developed by Suzhou Inovance, delivering 392 hp.
- Rear Motor: Designed by Xiaomi Automotive Technology, pumping out 612 hp.
This massive power allows the YU7 GT to reach a top speed of 300 km/h (approx. 186 mph), placing it firmly in the territory of traditional supercars. The energy is supplied by a high-capacity ternary lithium-ion battery pack, designed for both endurance and rapid discharge.

Global Ambitions and Pricing
The YU7 GT isn’t just for the domestic Chinese market. It is expected to be the first Xiaomi vehicle distributed in Europe, signaling the brand’s ambition to compete with global luxury EV giants.

In China, the YU7 GT is slated for a grand debut in the first half of 2026, alongside the SU7 L and the larger YU9 SUV. While official pricing is yet to be announced, industry insiders expect the YU7 GT to be priced between 450,000 and 500,000 CNY, which translates to roughly $65,000 to $73,000 USD.
With a combination of supercar performance and SUV versatility, the Xiaomi YU7 GT is poised to disrupt the premium electric vehicle segment.
