Hyundai Vietnam announced a recall of 3,741 Tucson SUVs after identifying a software‑related glitch that can cause the digital instrument cluster to reboot while the vehicle is in motion.

What’s the issue?

The onboard display may temporarily go blank or flicker as the cluster restarts, interrupting the flow of information such as speed, fuel level and navigation cues. The reboot lasts only a few seconds and the system returns to normal without driver intervention.

Which models are affected?

The recall covers the following trims built between 28 August 2025 and 27 January 2026:

  • 2.0 L Diesel
  • 2.0 L Petrol – Special Edition
  • 1.6 L Turbo
  • 1.6 L N Line

All affected vehicles will receive a free software update at authorized Hyundai service centers.

How Hyundai is fixing it

Technicians can complete the update in roughly 0.7 hour per vehicle. The procedure updates the cluster’s firmware to prevent the unintended reboot, restoring a seamless driving experience.

How owners can verify their vehicle

Owners can check whether their VIN appears on the recall list by visiting Hyundai Vietnam’s official website or using the HyundaiMe mobile app. If the VIN is listed, schedule a service appointment at the nearest dealer.
