After more than a year of speculation, Thaco has finally confirmed the launch of two American legends – the Ram 1500 pickup and the Jeep Wrangler SUV – for the Vietnamese market. The company released official pricing, trim details and power‑train specs, giving local buyers a clear picture of what to expect.
Ram 1500 – Trim Levels and Pricing
The first Ram model to hit Vietnam is the 2025‑model Ram 1500. It arrives in two configurations:

- Ram 1500 Rebel – VND 3.749‑3.799 billion
- Ram 1500 RHO – VND 5.499 billion
Both trims are powered by the brand‑new 3.0‑liter Hurricane I6 twin‑turbo engine. The Rebel version delivers a maximum output of 420 hp and 635 Nm of torque, while the high‑performance RHO pushes the numbers to 540 hp and 707 Nm. Power is sent to the wheels through an eight‑speed automatic transmission coupled with a 4×4 drivetrain.
Compared with the previous distributor JVA, which listed the Rebel at VND 5.288 billion, Thaco’s pricing represents a noticeable reduction, making the Ram 1500 more competitive in the local pickup segment.
Jeep Wrangler – Models and Features
The iconic off‑road SUV also receives a fresh facelift for its fifth generation. Thaco offers three trims:

- Wrangler Sport – VND 2.999 billion
- Wrangler Sahara – VND 3.299 billion
- Wrangler Rubicon – VND 3.499 billion
All three variants share a 2.0‑liter Turbocharged I4 engine that produces 270 hp and 400 Nm of torque. An eight‑speed automatic gearbox and Jeep’s legendary 4×4 system provide the capability to tackle mud, rocks and steep slopes.
The Rubicon model stands out with front and rear locking differentials, an electronic sway‑bar disconnect, and the exclusive Off‑Road+ mode, which optimises traction on the toughest terrain.
What’s Next for Thaco’s US Lineup?
In addition to the Ram 1500 and Wrangler, Thaco hinted at future introductions of the Jeep Cherokee and the premium Grand Wagoneer. Pricing and launch dates for these models have not yet been disclosed, but the announcements suggest a broader strategy to bring a full suite of American trucks and SUVs to Vietnam.
For prospective buyers, the new lineup offers a blend of powerful engines, advanced off‑road technology and competitive pricing that could reshape the Vietnamese market for American‑made vehicles.
