Four years after its debut, Rolls‑Royce has unveiled the Spectre Series II, the second‑generation all‑electric coupe for the world’s most affluent drivers. The update focuses on powertrain refinements, a longer electric range and a host of new bespoke options, all while preserving the brand’s iconic silhouette.

Performance boost

The Series II retains the dual‑motor all‑wheel‑drive layout but now delivers 593 hp and 1,015 Nm of torque – an increase of 16 hp and 115 Nm over the original model. Acceleration improves to 0‑60 mph (0‑97 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. For those craving even more excitement, the Black Badge variant pushes output to 671 hp and 1,100 Nm, shaving the 0‑60 time to 4.3 seconds.

Extended range and faster charging

Rolls‑Royce has redesigned the battery pack, boosting capacity to 112.4 kWh from 102 kWh. This translates to an 18 % increase in WLTP‑rated range – up to 628 km (390 miles) on a single charge. The new 195 kW DC fast‑charging system can replenish the battery from 10 % to 80 % in just 28 minutes, 14 % quicker than the first‑generation Spectre.

Black Badge edition

The exclusive Black Badge version adds a fresh visual language: a deep “Ethereal” green paint, 23‑inch alloy wheels and a matte‑black exterior trim that replaces traditional chrome accents. Inside, a darker, sportier ambience is complemented by new wheel designs and bespoke finishes.

Exterior and interior redesign

While the overall shape remains untouched, subtle enhancements set the Series II apart. A new “Illuminated Fascia” – a glowing artwork of 8,108 individual light points – decorates the rear‑seat head‑rest, echoing wave‑like patterns. The cockpit now features a wider digital display and a freshly designed instrument cluster inspired by aircraft panels.

Personalisation and sustainable materials

Rolls‑Royce expands its interior palette with the introduction of Duality Twill, an eco‑friendly, bamboo‑derived fabric available in four colours – black, chocolate, violet and green – and over 50 stitching options. Crafting a Duality Twill seat can involve up to 2.6 million stitches, 16 km of thread and 25 hours of handwork.

A new Placed Perforation leather technique enables intricate, moon‑lit cloud motifs created by 78,138 laser‑drilled holes of three sizes. High‑gloss walnut veneer panels, embedded with fine glass‑powder particles, add a sparkling finish to the cabin.

Pricing and availability

Pricing for the Spectre Series II has not yet been disclosed. The original Spectre started at US$422,750, while the Black Badge began at US$490,000. In Vietnam, the Spectre launched in 2024 with a starting price of VND 17.9 billion.

Rolls‑Royce expects the Series II to arrive in showrooms worldwide later this year, continuing the brand’s push into ultra‑luxury electrification.
